    Hello Jade. I really think you deserved a rest for a few days as you were unwell. Now, May is a perfect time for studying as it is not very hot and you can get round to learning and reading. You will be full of beans!

    The colonies lost the Queen's English through independence. But, to be fair, only the royal family ever spoke Queens English. I'm a Londoner, so I know this.

    Could you please create more reading videos. I really enjoyed The Masque of The Red Death video. If you could have one weekly reading video of Lord Byron or Jane Austin, many people would enjoy it. ❤

    If you want it to be pronounced 'bro' then why don't you spell it Edinbrough? You make it hard and then you complain that people don't pronounce it correctly.

    It would be interesting to get an update on the views you expressed, in this video. Maybe, you could do a 'reaction', where you review it, on screen, and pause it for comment? I'm interested because it's been three years, now, and that was a phase many of us experience. However, it should be a passing phase, from which we learn and move on. From your more recent videos (which may seem superficially unrelated), I can't help but wonder if you're yet to get past your disillusionment. Of course, a perfectly valid response is, "sod off!". That said, I feel your contribution to education can be important, to those people who do have a thirst for knowledge. Many do still exist, albeit seemingly rarer by the day. Moreover, it's important good educators plough on, because a thirst for knowledge is something that can be manifested in those who, otherwise, would've continued in oblivious ignorance, in my opinion. The more the merrier. For the record, I'm not an 'educator', in any official capacity. I'm just a lifelong student of psychology, and observer of society. For the majority of my life, I focused on subjects directly beneficial to my own interests. More latterly, these have turned to wider fascinations, now my former ambitions have been thoroughly sated. Irrespective of your response (if any), I wish you well.

    THANK YOU!! That's the result of learning from people with lazy pronunciation by ear. The cause of spelling differences ("misspelling") of the same words (and names) and grammatically incorrect ("missworded") phrases too, like this one. IMO

    You pronounce it as I do - "all be it" - but I hear some people (some that you'd think would know what's correct, such as Monty Don) say "al be it", which just sounds wrong, to me. I'm presuming we're correct, or is there some ambiguity of which I'm unaware?

  • @AnthonyKellett
    @AnthonyKellett6 күн бұрын

    Yes, I think the words 'won' and 'wand' illustrate the subtle difference, quite well.

    The one that is really driving me to distraction is 'sat' substituted for 'sitting'. It's virtually a universal issue, on British TV. "I was sat at breakfast, thinking ..."; "There he is, sat in his car."; "He is sat at the top..." etc etc What on earth is that all about? I don't know if you've addressed this issue, but it's worth correcting, in my opinion. I'm sat here, waiting! 🤷🏼‍♂️😊

It seems to me that you are a very naive, gentle, sensitive person. Your posture and tone of voice tell me so. You are a woman to fall in love with. Really. Thank you if you read it.
