Thank you for a wonderful presentation. Not quite sure what they mean by recycle bin but if it refers to Industrial wastes (destroyed drives, equipments others), we should have a bin separate bin for that at the DC and we need to coordinate with Industrial Waste vendors/companies to pick these up and throw away to the specified location for recycling etc.

Hi, my Power device needs POE 802.3af, can I use CAT 6 cable to supply power to the device as CAT 6 cable is 802.3bt that carries more watts that the powered device needed? Will it damage my powered device? Thanks.
@KnowledgeBase20209 ай бұрын
Hi, sorry for the late reply. yes, you can do that. if the cable is rated for higher power this will lead to a better performance and less power wasted in the cable. Depending on how far your device is from the source you may want to consider a lower gage (thiker wire) for the installation.

Question: is type 4 = POE +++ or POE++ have type 3 and 4 (if so how can you tell with one you have)
@KnowledgeBase2020 Жыл бұрын
The 802.3bt standard came with two new options: Type 3 and Type 4. Both refered to as POE++. The POE device you are using will support one or both types. You can know that from the device specifications.

This was superb. I'm just curious, you stated that it's not necessary to have ups of more than 15mins because the cooling itself is run by utility and genset, however, I have once worked on a system with cooling storage (buffer tanks) that had pumps connected to ups and could go beyond 30mins.
@KnowledgeBase2020 Жыл бұрын
Yes that is correct. those are cooled water tanks that act as standby cooling in case of power outage. However, the UPS is only to maintain the system power while the generator kickes in. The datacenter should have a disel generator that can provide power.

In the cabling industry w consider the bandwidth of Category 6A as being 500 Mhz. That is how TIA defines it, it is how ISO 11801 defines it and it is how EN 50173 defines it. Cat 5 being 100 MHz, 5e still 100 MHz, cat 6 250 MHz, cat 7 600MHz, cat 7a 1000 MHz and finally Cat 8 2000 MHz.

True, and that is the maximum supported frequancy by these category cables according to the standards. You can check my video kzread.info/dash/bejne/nox8mMWOp8TWfNo.html for more details on Balanced twisted bair cables and their categories.
