    Means cake ka batter tha cream ya white compound chocolate thi??

  • @bakergirl88
    @bakergirl88Ай бұрын

    Hi there! I used American Buttercream, because I wanted to keep this recipe quick and easy, however feel free to use your favorite buttercream recipe! Also I think compound chocolate would be a little too hard to bite into! However if you were serving these on a hot day, after you fill the molds with buttercream and chilled them, you could certainly dip the tops in tempered chocolate to keep the buttercream more stable! Happy baking! Sarah 🫶🏽♥️

    You don’t really add a lot of sugar, just enough to balance out the tanginess of the vinaigrette. It’s totally optional. Happy cooking! 🫶🏽♥️Sarah

    Hey Y’all!! We’re having a treat today! Taking a delicious trip down memory lane! Most of us likely have happy memories of walking into Grandma's kitchen and seeing a beautiful golden pound cake sitting in the Tupperware cake container! My Granny Georgia Mae made some seriously good cakes! Years later after she passed my oldest sister started making them for the family and she shared the recipe with me. Now I get the opportunity to share it with You! Feel free to leave a comment if you have any questions or comments and I’ll be happy to answer them! There’s nothing like having a freshly baked cake on the kitchen counter to share for that unexpected company who randomly drops by!! Hope you’ll enjoy sharing this delicious cake with your family and friends! Happy baking! 🫶🏽Sarah

    I would use a slightly smaller pan to press down as to not leave marks if your ocd like me😂

  • @bakergirl88
    @bakergirl883 ай бұрын

    Hi Heather! I’m totally ocd!! 😂 An offset spatula would help to smooth out the surface. However I prefer thinner marshmallows vs the smaller pan gives you a thicker marshmallow. You can also spoon the marshmallow mixture into a disposable piping bag and pipe out marshmallow kisses! Happy baking! Love, Sarah 🫶🏽

    Did you use all the juice from the oranges you peeled?

  • @bakergirl88
    @bakergirl883 ай бұрын

    I do! If your oranges aren’t very juicy add about 2 cups of water for every 4 oranges. The actual liquid amounts depends on how juicy the fruit is. Happy canning! Love Sarah🫶🏽

    How much sugar did you use?

  • @bakergirl88
    @bakergirl883 ай бұрын

    Good question! I used approximately 3 1/3 - 4 Cups of granulated sugar for every 2 pounds of oranges, less sugar will make the marmalade more runny, also marmalade has a very mild slightly bitter taste because of the orange peels, which is totally normal. You can of course increase the amount of sugar if you prefer. The best thing about home canning is you can taste your jam along the way and adjust the level of sweetness to your liking! Happy canning! Love Sarah🫶🏽

    I loved this! I do have some questions: what are your thoughts about organic ingredients, how long does the broth keep in the fridge and do you freeze it and can it? Thanks!!

  • @bakergirl88
    @bakergirl884 ай бұрын

    Hi there!🙋🏽‍♀️ I think using organic ingredients is fantastic, that’s even more a reason to use every bit! Bones from an Organic chicken will give you a richer more gelatinous broth. Bone broth will keep in the refrigerator for up to 5 days, if you leave the chilled fat on the top( you can easily remove the fat from the broth after it has chilled) My preferred method is to measure out the amount that I need for an upcoming recipe, and strain the remaining broth and divide into freezer safe containers, in the quantities that I know I will need. You can also freeze smaller portions in freezer bags and keep them handy for quick defrosting when you’re in a hurry! As to canning, I pressure can my bone broths, just because it’s safer than water bath canning, but freezing is the best method! Happy cooking! Love Sarah🫶🏽♥️
