Daily Dose Of Wisdom

Daily Dose Of Wisdom

Hello there! My name is Brandon McGuire & I started this channel because I want people to have the relationship with God that I now enjoy. If that sounds wild or ridiculous to you then you are just the kind of person I'd love to connect with. I genuinely think that we've all faced doubt (or even anger towards God that we have insisted is unbelief) at one level or another.

But here's my story: Jesus has answered my questions, healed my wounds, calmed my storms, saved my soul, and changed absolutely everything for me. I want to help people to know Him too… so that He can do the same for them.

So, I'm interacting with content from across the internet and engaging in conversations that I think are important, from a Jesus perspective.

Skeptics and seekers are welcome.
Conversations are Good.
Questions are Good.

No Hate.
Just Love.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom.

Enjoy!

This is the lowest form of intellect that can only come from a theist. Saying something doesn't make it true, as you are implying here. The guy is being fecetious.

"Scientism, in other words, is the reigning view. The idea that science is the only way to truth. And Bertrand Russell summarized this viewpoint by saying 'What science cannot tell us, mankind cannot know.' Now Russell was an quite a brilliant logician but his logic failed him badly when he made that statement. 'What science cannot tell us mankind cannot know.' Is that a statement of science? No. So that we cannot know it. This is what we call a logically incoherent statement: if it's true, it's false....

This evolution thing is so silly.... studying humans, one can reach the conclusion that we should only be able to love conditionally. But, wait... there is "something" trying to teach us about UNconditional love, which is where the humanity stumbles upon. And then, we have a "story" about a "person" who lived on earth and healed people and loved them unconditionally, and taught them stuff and gave them a "map" to reaching this level of love where unconditional love resides. Denying God is only denying the absolute love and peace and truth. Is denying a level of perfection, a certain level of understanding on why we are here, what we are supposed to do... God is in us, and we are in God. Denying God is denying love to people who dont match our expectations, our requirements, our artificial and sick imagination... cuz when we accept and love humans the way they are, that is when magic starts happening..

This is definitely proof that the guy wasn't actually debating in any good faith. The guy doesn't believe in God so much that even in a hypothetical situation where God is proven true in existence, he still thinks he would not follow God. Atheists like this aren't thinkers. They are just deniers. It's usually because if they were to accept God and his word it would mean so much of their life was wasted on sinful living.

I did learn this in school. I can remember Mrs Marsh saying the DNA is like a digital code that the nucleotides use to build proteins. I remember that like yesterday. I went on to learn it at a much deeper level and probably thanks to Mrs Marsh by the sounds of it. Thanks. Mrs M.

Where was the mic drop? All I saw was someone use that a word derived from Latin and is used differently today like what 99% of all words today? Lol. God is real because we use words differently than a 1000 years ago. Impressing a religious person is as easy as telling them something they didn’t know.

Ironically this is a bad faith argument. The etymology of the word does not define it. When Bruce uses confidence level it means a lot more than with faith. It means that the conclusion of research and science gives you a certain level of insurance that an experiment or a process will give a certain result. But what is the argument about anyways? That Bruce has faith?

Was that a look and feeling of victory in that man's face when he translated an appropriated word in the original language then fabricated his own connection to manufacture a definition that compliments his argument in a fashion that epitomizes confirmation bias.

I heard Watson and crick learn that a competing lab was working on one theory through one of their graduate students and heard that they had trouble with their hypothesis and they knowing that their theory was also wrong. Then they decide to go a different route and finally reach the double helix. Is that cheating and educational dishonesty?!? Yes, and it’s done numerous times. They should call the discoverers of the DNA structure was found by Prick and tallywhacker. Yeah, no respect at all.

Nah, I’m atheist, but you best believe if I KNEW 100% God existed, I would be doing everything in my power to get to heaven. These small 60-80 years we live on Earth would be absolutely nothing in the face of eternity in the afterlife.

I disagree with Meyer that the "intelligent information" is evidence for a directing mind. What we see is maybe something that resembles what we see elsewhere. This is not evidence, just kicking the can down the road. Science will eventually solve this mystery too.
