Nate Schoemer provides an academy for dogs and their owners. The purpose of dog training is to enhance human/canine relationships and to help a dog to understand its expectations. Through training your canine, discover the dramatic difference of owning a well-trained, obedient dog.
Dog training is an art form and it takes years to become an expert. However, through the essentials I’ve provided in these training videos, anybody can take their dog ownership to the next level. Although you won’t master this field overnight, you can quickly develop the essential skills needed to fix the majority of issues that dog owners face. In addition, you’ll discover a greater relationship with your dog, as you now have the tools to address the bad behaviors that may have frustrated you or pushed you further away from your companion. What kinda food do you use, puppy chow?
What if my dog will only bark outside and only at other dogs
My dog is smart but lazy and she understands but after a while she stops listening 🥲
What treats do you use?
I'm thinking about going to the Tom Rose school. Is it really worhy the money.
This is how it's done! Thanks for the video. I see a lot of people (my parents for example) just nonchalantly letting the dogs and puppy interact right away and it always makes me very nervous.
Goodness thank you so much for this vedio this helps me so much !!! Your vedio is exactly what I needed!
How do you balance the use of food and treats for pups? Training my 12 week Newfoundland.
Is there books any one would recommend on dog training
This episode had some really good information, tips and how to achieve the goal presented. Definitely a method I will use with Rusty as we go on to increase tolerances and proof behaviors. However, I will say, Nate, that I prefer your presentation style. You are more concise in your description, without over-repeating yourself, while at the same time demonstrating the movements with the dog-of-the-moment. I am also glad you {?} prompted him to explain the marker word can vary, being trainer choice. The new trainer just needs to remember what they have designated and use it consistently. I also noticed he paired the "no" with the leash pop. We have discussed the fact we all will pair at times but I have noticed when marking a correction event, especially if it is in a tense situation, I canNOT not pair. The correction needed to happen immediately. I don't feel so bad now after watching this.
Where did you get that tug toy
This is amazing! My pup has responded so well! Thank you so much!!!! I will be watching all of these videos!!
Finally someone explaining it in a practical easy way
Do poodles grow out of it? Never had a puppy like this. And i talked to a person who had a one year old pup and it still bites.
Hi Nate! Becoming a dog trainer here using engagement based training. I assume I'll run into clients who don't want to feed by hand for a number of reasons. If after encouraging them to be willing to try, if they still do not want to, how crucial is this and in addition to at least general correct placement location on floor ( i.e. side, front, etc) any suggestions re this? TIA!
@@CamilleGG451 If they don’t want to use food to motivate the dog, then you can try to use toys and praise, but it can be significantly more difficult to get precision. In addition, you can use leash pressure training to help guide the dog into the correct positions, which is often enough for basic obedience. Hope this helps. Cheers!
@@NateSchoemer Thanks Nate! I just meant if they don't want the dog taking the treat directly from their hand, how much less impactful is it if the treat's placed on the floor instead?
so good!!! 🙌🏽❤
Excelente clase. Gracias teacher
@nateschoemer Thank you so much for this!! NO trainer has ever taught me this so this is tremendously helpful! How do i help my dog (a 9m old beagle) to not staying that close to me as i walk backwards? I see that your pup is coming right up against your hand. My dog kind of wait for bit of distance from my hands before starting walking and following. 🙏🙏 thank you for the tips!
What if they refuse to get in the water? When going to the beach my dog likes to be in the water and swim just fine. At home in our pool he just refuses.
Excelente. Gracias
Great to have an explanation, my 4 month Aussie loves to nibble and use his paws which are very sharp as well! I will try your first tip out and see how I get on. Thank you

When spacing out your rewards and on a variable or random reward schedule, my question is this. Do I have to reward every time I use the terminal marker in training “free” or should I have a non reward terminal marker as well like “break”
My 11 week old GSD is shredding my arms and hands 😭 We’re getting better but I feel like whenever we play it easily turns into a let me leave the toy and start going after your arms and hands. She’s broken skin many times 😭 I’ve redirected with toys, with treats, but I’ll try this method and see if it works
Great tutorial! However, remember to be in touch with your inner 7yr old girl voice when giving verbal praise.

TYSM! I’ve also had horses all my life too, so now I’m using my old long dressage whips for heeling sticks! 💙🐶💩
Genial
I have four dogs and am trying to train them all; three four-year-old beagles and one four-month-old pointer. They all suffer severe separation anxiety, especially the three beagles (from myself and each other). Can you give me any guidance?

Excelente vid3o Enseñar con alumnos humanos
The back end awareness is great for when you teach a backup too. As an SD back up can be useful
Service comment: 4ft = 121cm 6ft = 182cm 30ft = 9,1m
How long do you train each step if that makes sense ? For example do you spend a few weeks on "yes" before trying to lure? And what ages would you recommend to start each step?
I need to retrain my dog. He's a yorkie and has behavioral issues like, being aggressive around other dogs (this is new 95% he's fine but then sometimes he bites me in the process of taking him away from another dog) doesn't come when I call him while we're outside, at home he listens. He's very smart but stubborn.

Excelente. Gracias
i found with my current dog if i tried any form of dominance training it became a struggle and constant back and fourth.
What if you're dog is afraid of everything
