Is Wil on the floor doing the harmonies and vocal doubling with some form of synthesizer? It’s almost as if he has something like an octave pedal one he can choose the intervals as he goes. If just part of that was done in real time it’s amazing. It sounds wonderful however they did it.

Small point but to give credit where credit is due, Lori Lieberman co-wrote (with Charles Fox and Norman Gimbel) and performed this song after attending a Don McLean concert. The Roberta Flack version is a cover, albeit an iconic one. The irony is Roberta Flack won a Grammy for this song, something Don McLean never did. The one year he was nominated he lost to Roberta Flack.
