Does this affect any warranties on the car?
Look up the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.
Do you still have your RAV4 Rob?
Gotta watch the videos.
That is great, does it rattle when you drive?
Not that I’ve ever heard.
Hey Rob, my girlfriend just got a new 24 RAV4 XLE. Do you still have your RAV4? Thanks
Congrats to her👍
Thank you for your posting excellent job😊
You can remove the airdam flap for more room.. I believe it's 2 small bolts on each side.
Well how is it holding up? I've been reading a lot of bad reviews with this paint in the can. I'm sure many are from haphazard prep but I'm curious how yours held up.
It held up fine while I had it.
I just ordered 20s for mine. Yours looks great!!! 👍
This is really cool, love what you did. I just got a Stone Blue SC and have been looking at collapsible storage units that run close to the width of the bed. Between that and the cargo net it should work well for someone without woodworking tools.
It's not a mod, it's a repair/replacement.
Sure.......
What a useless video
Why not just use a 1x8 and trim the sides
You could.
Did you try taking the foam blocks out? There's enough room in my 2024 Ltd. for a compact spare. Unfortunately if you just remove the foam blocks, there's not enough support for the floor board; however, apparently the Mexico and Japanese versions include a different foam block that holds the donut spare and jack. Not sure if you can buy that foam in the US, so I may end up making my own support. Modern Spare also has a compact spare for it, the correct size and reported to work fine for driveability. Prime and AWD models may be a different story, but there is room underneath on the others.
thanks! now I know what I'll need to uninstall oem. Go down once on the ground with all the tools, at this age I can't get off the ground like the young guys effortlessly.
Lol! Glad to help👍
Hi Rob! thanks for all the great Santa Cruz videos. We just bought ours and we are loving it. I am wondering how your letters held up? They look great.
They were fine. No issues.
I’m getting mine installed today
Then sell it and buy you a Ford F250
A bit extreme don’t ya think😂
The Santa Cruz shocked are beefy, better than some full size trucks
I hate those damn dealer ad plate frames. I had two: one was black letters on chrome plastic frame, and the other white letters on black plastic frame. In both cases a saturated paper towel with 70% isopropyl alcohol the lettering came right off. Keep it saturated and after about one minute the paint rubs/scrapes off. On my chrome plate it was advertising "Asshole Toyota", (Asshole is the name of the dealer her in Mesa, AZ.) I only removed the dealer's name, so had a nice frame with just " Toyota". I hate those ad plates. (Pay me for your ad, and we can talk.) Also the 15-year old vinyl logo/stencil applied directly on the body paint, with some effort, peeled off. Clean with Goo Gone, and rinse with water. Can barely see the outline of the letter since the paint has faded a tad.
Very good overall demonstration. However that cut at 6:29 during possibly the most tricky final set was not ideal because it leaves a clueless viewer to worry that some difficulties were encountered and whatever happened during the cut was possibly important and not included. Also the camera on this part could be lower where you positioned your own eyes to sneak a look underneath a bit. Those view angles are worth their weight on gold.
Sounds like you should make a video…
How are you liking it now? I am looking at a 2008 with only 76k original miles
I loved it👍
HD AM and HD FM is the Big Deal here
Only Mercedes sports car look good with staggered rims and tires not your C-Class. Take a look at a E-550 convertibles they look very good with the factory staggered rims and tires. You changed the wrong car into a staggered car.
Lol! You’re telling me what I think should look good! Really😂
Thanks for the video. The dealer wanted to charge $122.49 to replace the cabin filter. I bought it for less than $14 at my local service station. NEVER have the dealer do ANYTHING after the free service runs out on your new car.
Wow! That’s absurd!
Do the bolts go back in or stay out until re install?
I don’t recall. But it’s in the video.
Well done regards Ed
Thanks.. good information
Thank you!
Thanks. I was worried about the REVERSE sound, that sounded like metal on metal gear wheels turning. Its also there at a lower volume in drive. These are intentional sounds to overcome the quietness of the vehicle to pedestrians?
Yes, to make peds aware of your presence 👍
Thank you so much for the info! Very helpful, shame on Carmax! lol
Why don’t you find the person who own it first and dona review on them. Nothing wrong with Mercedez. Thats why they are at the top and GM is at the bottom. It’s people that’s the problem. A Mercedez is a piece of art. It’s not for cave man. It’s meant for people with class and refined common sense.
Well shoot! I need to sell mine right away. For you see, I am way too close to caveman status😂
You can put a screw driver up through holes in hood and push and pop bottom clips and they pop right out. Took me 5 minutes to change both of mine.
Truck wont shift into drive with the door open or closed improperly.
Car is amazing, I have a 2024 same color and shaved like yours, but was wondering if you could do something about the rear emblem, it would be nice to darken that one too
We have a 2024 Prime. Love it. Have had it for three months now and to date, we have not purchased any gas after close to 3,000Km (1,875m). I also wonder why the gas engine starts at the oddest times. Our intention was to run in EV Mode all the time so we charge the car every night. With a full charge, sometimes, when I drive my wife to work, the engine starts after we roll down a 500' hill and stop at the end. It then runs for five minutes Why ? Anybody know ?.
The Infotainment System needs to go. This is a huge Distraction when Driving as well as a very expensive item to fix if it fails. I will not by a New Car with a Infotainment System. I want Switches, Knobs, and Dials. That do not move. Also, I the lack of a Physical Key and a Keyed Ignition is not good. Not have a Key or Physical Security is a downgrade in Security not an Upgrade.
I think you may be doomed to late models from here on.
@@robmotivetoo If that is the Case. There will be no New Automobile Sale from me. I hope Auto Makers are Reading this. The Infotainment System = No Sale. I do not want this in my Automobile.
I think you are probably in the minority on that one.
@@robmotivetoo I am not so sure about this. In any case Touch Screen = No Sale.
You can buy a Mazda... there's no touchscreen, but you have a scroll wheel and a volume knob as well as a few shortcut buttons. Simplicity with a bit of a learning curve, but at the beginning.... once you get used to it... it's all good.
I'm old school and couldn't imagine going on a long road trip in the country without a spare tire. To add a spare in my 2024 Prius, I cut a hole in the foam and dropped it in. It fits perfectly. There is a threaded slot for a hold down bolt. I have the XLE. I understand that this might be more complicated with other models.
Thanks for the video. I know now how to pop off that 1st piece.
Nice job. And to the point ! Some guys just try to drag the videos out too long. Informative. Yes I used the manual and found the home link...I had to seek some help!
Thanks for the vid. I'm using these for the rear tie down straps for my kayak. Just put cross bars and collapsable kayak carrier on the roof so this is perfect. Without these I'd have to open the tonneau cover and use the bed's d-rings so this is much more convenient and practical since I can keep my things in the bed locked and secure.
Glad to help.
Well done video and actually entertaining. I'm looking at buying a 2016 Tundra TRD (only has 27,000 miles!) This handle is a must so thanks for posting!!
Thanks for watching 👍
I put a deposit in for the Prius Prime SE which doesnt have a glass roof. One big tbing i need for my next vehicle is quiet drive down the highway!!! I took a Tesla down the HWY for a test drive and it was very quiet.
Part number: 08F13-TBG-140
I appreciate the easy video. My dayghters 2017 civic window strip is all cracked.
Thank you for this! Can't wait to try it on my 2016 civic!
Very nice looking car
A full tank of gas in my 2023 Prius reading indicates 478mi.
Nothing about transmission fluid ? Was hoping to find out where the dip stick is
It’s sealed. No transmission dip stick to check.
@@robmotivetoo Thanks ...there some winning coming from front ...can be Vacuum or Turbo ...but also a transmission ..looks like need to take to the shop
If this was the year 2014, I’d say, wow, this infotainment system is so good. But sadly, it’s the year 2024 and my Japanese friends at Toyota must be boring and have given my RAV4 an outdated one that’s leaps and bounds behind the competition. I paid quite a bit for this vehicle and I’d expect better. Seriously, Toyota has to get their act together.
Hello! Thank you for the video. Will this part number fit a 2018 Honda Civic coupe as well? Want to make sure I order the correct part. I also need the full weatherstripping for both doors as well. Thank you.
I don’t know. You should verify with your vendor.
