I will be mostly covering my flights with various RC planes, EDF's, gliders, and maybe some heli flying.
Note,
At no time in any of my videos will I be flying with SAFE activated! I'd rather crash :p
I do have it enabled on all planes equipped with the AR636 receiver because on certain model programs you lose rudder throw if you bind with it off.
I put it on the Trainer/Bind button so it's never accidentally on.
I can start doing unboxing and assembly videos or help with Spektrum radio programming if requested.
There will be more 1:18 through 1:5 scale gas surface vehicle coverage when I get around to taking some videos.
Also be some mountain biking at various locations around Alberta and BC. Just bought a new Scott Genius eride.
I'm currently using the RunCam2 camera with 120 degree lens. Set to 1080p 60fps.
Subscribe if you like what you see and want to see more.
Thanks for watching.

For your next trick . . . launching backward, flipping upright and then flying off . . . may be easier done on a slope. <grin> I'm reading through the thread on this and planning on buying one in the near future. Planning on it being a 'travel plane'. Nice flying!
Watch my UMX Ultrix crazy launches video
nice flight! Great catch
Thanks
Cool! Take care your dog doesn’t jumps into the pond :p
I hope he does jump in the pond, he doesn't seem to like water much. Maybe he sees the leaches as well, lol 😜
Micro draco was built to be under 250g as per Horison. Its like 238is grams with a 4s pack.
@@jerryhermann7233 Sounds like you're under 250g, what's the problem? No matter what it is it should be a little lighter, could be better for STOL
Nice flight. We used to have a blast with Gentle lady's off a high start.
@@ModelAV8RChannel thanks, when I was a kid I had a glider similar size to this but it had an .049 on a power pod, motor would take it up pretty high then the thermals would spec it out. This is my first high start.
Another great flight! LOVE those 3-pointers! 😎 Here's a tip though - the audio on your vids is always way lower than most. I have to crank it wide-open & it's still pretty quiet as compared to the average YT video. Can you turn up the mic gain on your hatcam?
@@MrTurboparker I'll have a look through the settings but I don't think I can adjust it.
Cool! Good thing that it's not a single with the prop in the nose, though! That said, you did pull off some sweet 3-pointers! 👍
The Start is super fast 😅 👍🏼 super Flight :))
Did you built the wings by yourself? Don’t you miss ailerons. Nice plane for having fun with thermals an the bungee start :D
keep on flying my friend love the twin timber its a awesome bird👍👍👍👍👍
Nice flight
Hey bud I Joe nice flying I have one myself and have many flights on it and have some awesome water ops so if you like check them out and great plane to have👍👍👍👍👍
I flew mine once.
@@hogsnplanes it's a nice little plane, you should fly it again... or even better come for a visit and fly it here.
Nice plane, nice flying
I was going to ask how you became such a good pilot but you answered in the comments lol.
@@mikemckinnis3877 I've been flying since the late 70's other than a break in my late teens and all my 20's. I picked it up again in 2007 after a few years flying heli. I've still got lots to learn
You even have a Rx with barometer! :D
Yup, I get altitude and vario telemetry, very helpful when looking for lift
@@CR5rcsuper, yes it’s very helpful . I’ve tested it in two gliders. But just the first time I was lucky to find thermals. I flew so long that my neck began to hurt 🤣
Cool, now I see you have throttle stick for flaps. I´ve seen that too. Also the old school guys in the club fly powered gliders with that setting and Motor on/off on a switch :P...
How much better is the Bamf over the malibu? Is it worth double the price?
Not even in the same category, the BAMF2 cost me a lot more than double and was worth every penny. Both excellent but trying to compare a $250 fiberglass Malibu plus $40 worth of servos and a $50 receiver to the $1500 full carbon BAMF2 with KST 08 servos and a $100 receiver with vario and altimeter is like apples and oranges. The Malibu flies really well, it's extremely light and agile, can be flown in smaller places, is a really great glider for light lift and just getting a feel for DLG before spending the big bucks. It lacks inertia though and doesn't penetrate like a 1.5m glider. The BAMF2 is much smoother and can be flown in heavier winds, has great launches and good penetration to get you back if you go downwind. It's construction is near perfect, Thomas built it as receiver ready for me (mine is the one in his video) and it's perfect. So I have around $350 into the Malibu and close to $2000 into the BAMF2, no comparison. All prices in Canadian dollars at the time of purchase. But I will say that recently I took the Malibu out for a spin and had a good time with it. I should fly it more often.
Nice flights but the vario gets annoying, maybe when you're flying it's not so noticeable. What Rx and Tx are you using?
It's a Spektrum DX8 gen 2 transmitter and AR6610T receiver with the case removed. I agree that as a spectator the vario would be annoying, plus I think I need to make the sink less sensitive so it's not always chirping. While you're flying it just turns into background noise that I don't really consciously notice but the rising sound does register in my head. The rising noise never annoys me :p Thanks for watching
😂😂😂 good substitute for windy days. Do you have electric cars too ?
Ya, I've got a few electric buggies and a couple electric road cars.
I flew 2 small planes in my hangar today, you will be happy to know one was a foamy 😁
I hope you understand found that nut!! Cool car! I should repair my Mojave Exb…..
Pole position 👍🏼
Great little plane, I love mine! First and inly one I've flown off water, the differential thrust makes it great! It's really fun on snow with floats as well.
I've only had it on water once but I have videos of it on snow, ski jumping it off snow drifts 😁
@@CR5rc me too, 2 flights on water. It was fun but a bit nerve-racking. On snow it's even more fun on the ground than in the air 😄
@@A.M.-RC Have you watched my winter vids with it yet? There's a couple fun one's 😄
Nice landings except for one. How refreshing it is to hear a guy just say "I messed up a bit" instead of "this thing lands like crap" Lol.
Well, I could blame the wind but I was the one who didn't give it enough power. Thanks Adam, appreciate the kind words.
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Thank you, it means a lot to me when someone with no content on their channel criticizes others.
That was fun !!! 😉🙃😎
It's a really good little plane
that last landing looked pretty cool. thanks for another fun video!
Another great flight, Chris! Love it! 👍
Another excellent flight! Loved the butter-smooth maneuvers & especially all of those textbook 3-point greasers! 👍😎
Sent mine back. Wing was a disasters. Twisted
Mine started out twisted but it was easy to fix with the heat gun.
Beaut twin Timber mate. Love mine & will probably order the Super!
Chris something is up with your camera settings. Everything is washed out and yellow. Is there a haze from all the arson happening in Canada?
Sorry, I set the camera to cloudy day instead of auto.
Omg I'm gonna have to get the big one now too
I've also got the old .40 size one converted to electric (have a couple vids in my library) and I've got the 30cc version, they're all fun
timbers seem to hate me but Im thinking on getting the the new super timber. but well see. Nice job bud and great flying!!
Not bad but you really need a Robbe Mistral V2, 😊
Lol, it is tempting 😄
She’s fast 👍🏼
👌🏼
That’s was pretty dull. It’s a 3d plane. If you can’t fly 3d you should stick with trainers or warbirds or something
Lol, you're funny. More exciting than your fish videos.
Can't hear you.
Sorry, mic on the camera is weak, not much to hear. I'll try to speak louder though
See if I can find time in my busy schedule to join you one of these days.
Once I remove a few more trees and it should be good for float flying as well.
@@CR5rc I even have a foamy seaplane.
Feel good to be retired now? No more excuses not to come flying now. I'm in BC right now looking at a couple properties that might be my retirement property.
@@CR5rc It does.
Nice flight Chris, looks fun and good for outdoor. A Bit Heavy for indoors. I built a depron Yak54 with a weight of 120g inkl a big 2S pack. I think it’s half of that bird with around the same size. But there are mucho more lighter ones that fly also much more easely indoors :)) For me as a beginner the material played a fundamental role so I built a RC Factory Turbo beaver. That’s super also for after work everywhere flying :D but with a nice and sturdy landing gear. I also used the tires of my old turbo timber umx instead of foam wheels :))
Yeah - sweet catches!
Thanks, it's a great little plane.
Can't hear a word.
Turn up your speakers? I can hear it on my devices. Not much to hear other than me saying it's the maiden and I'm running a 4S 2200mAh pack.
I use a 525mAh 4s in mine. Handles great.
There's a difference between being able to fly with the weight and flying well with the weight. I can feel a huge difference in the low speed handling with a 4S 450mAh compared to a 4S 300mAh. It carries it fine but you lose the low speed handling when you load it up with heavy packs that provide zero positive gains other than an extra minute of flight time.
Nice flying! Have thought about getting one of these, but I'm holding out for a 1.5-2m MixMaster! 😁
Another day at the foamy farm.
They're not all foam... lol
Such a great flying plane Chris. Love mine! Nice flying man!
Nice flying, Chris! Enjoyed the Cubbish aerobatics and all of those wonderful 3-point greasers! Haven't flown mine in quite awhile. Think I need to dust her off this season!
Can you 3D it?
Nice fly
Thanks, I'll try to get the Night Timber-x out soon, a little more aggressive setup on that one.
