Kaddy's Jam Kave is NOT just a YT channel... it is a place where I meet up with loads of local musicians and set up Jam sessions for the pure love and joy of jamming Heavy Rock and Metal music. I'm also just a regular guy from Down Under that's into guitars, amps & gear that makes related video content.

What’s the od pedal being used??
Does it work on Arch linux or Fedora?
of course... if you use the same versions of everything that I did.
You know you can expect Fricker to post an unhinged video that "tone is in the speaker........not the amp switcher!!!!!!!!!!"
I agree this amp was a huge let down. Glenn led me to buy it since he said it sounded like amps used for early 90’s Florida Death Metal. Bullshit
Pretty darn cool 😎
anyone had any log getting the IK Product manager working? you cant download the different software without that... I can get it running, but i cant get it to download as it doesnt have access to the location im trying to download Tonex, amplitube etc. to
good to see you back bro, thought Fricker must have fell on ya
😂😂🤣🤣
The MXR pedal doesn't have Metal in its name. Point made.
Good review! Love the t shirt.
Hi. Thanks for the great video! I have a question, is this Randall same as Randall T2HL, how much Wats does your Randall have? Sorry on my bad English.
@@sonysoni5079 Oh I think the T2HL is the 100 watt version of the T2 which is 400 watts at 4ohms and 200 watts at 8ohms if my memory is correct 👍🏻
are they 16ohms cabs?
@@YsAbTones 8
Thanks for the free feet picks im having fun tonight.
HEY I thought I'd let you know I just seen the SAME one listed on reverb for 900 bucks not sure if it's still they're it was recently added to reverb
Oh damn... must be gone. I see one right now for $7.5k! And it's not even made in USA but Korea. Crazy.
@@KaddysJamKave the title for the listing is "2017 Dean ML-79 W/floyd rose trans Brazilla burst 79 ML" it's still listed on my end
@@Matthew750-4 Nope... not showing up on my end. Strange... I even have the setting for "everywhere" in the world.
The minute you said you were using a Boss Katana, I knew the 70/80's would hold their own or possibly win. Because my Katana sounds great with them, too. 7080's work great with modelling amps because of their flat EQ. In fact, I think some modelling combos ship with 7080's. If you repeated the experiment with one of your tube heads, the V30's might come out on top.
bass is waaaaaaay too low
out of tune
On the reverb - Room, Hall, Cathedral, Plate. Or Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Both sounded really balanced and I don't think neither enhanced or killed any frequency in mega significant way. When it comes to taste I would pick the orange though. I really don't like excessive high end.
I second that! Please make a Tut.🙃 I dont understand why Yabridge works because the Standalone is not a VST Pluging??? GREETINGS
Made a tut ages ago... It's linked in description and pinned in the comments.
Man i cant get enough of your studio its just amazing
the ultra gain maxes out around 4 or 5 too and after that its shit...but before that rocks!
i wish the reverb wasa better on mine..it doesnt start kickin in till 3 or 4 then past 5 or 6 it gets much worse..
wow, that engl cabs sounds super muffled from up close. i suggest you try to mic up the 4 speakers one after another, record it and listen to the differences. might be the top right one has some issues. in the room mic situation i liked the engl a lot more than the mesa, but up close the mesa did it for me. also the "V30" in the mesa are different, they are named the same way, but celestion makes a special kind of V30 for mesa boogie exclusively.
There is no one bad ir on this product, every single cab sounds awesome, it goes very well with my Suhr Bella.
I think a lot of people are dialing the 70/80's like they're Vintage 30's... they're not
I love how the comments are all, "I loved the Orange cab." Haha. You really can't go wrong with any Orange product.
I listened carefully on a good set of headphones. The 70/80 sounds thin, shrill, and buzzy. They’re grating and hard to listen to.
Fair enough... Not like that in the room though. If I moved the mic a bit more to the left or right of the center cone it would smooth out on the recording. Every speaker has their sweet spot and sometimes different mics get better results when cab micing
Thanks for this !!! What u think of the Marshall 1960B cab ??? I got a JVM410 and a bunch of 2x12 cabs with V30s …. Part me of me wants a Marshall cab just not sure if I’d like it ? Alexi had one for years
Never had one mate so I'm not too sure...
Does anyone know why it is called a tobacco sunburst, I can understand the sunburst part but what does tobacco have to do with it?
It has brown, tobacco is brown 😂
Are mostly zoom multi effects considered entry level?
This one is... I wouldn't say the same about a zoom G11
I think you missed the point. Of course you can get two amps to sound different. In fact I can get one amp to sound different from itself. The point of the video is that both amps, the 5150 and Rectifier are based on the same circuit (i.e. stolen from Soldano) and it is possible to get them to sound i the same ballpark.
Nar you missed the point... He was saying when recorded they sound basically the same and yet they are very different on my recording. It would be a hell of a job to make them both sound the same in the room because of the fact that they are 2 very distinct amps regardless of the so called circuitry similarities. I bet you don't own both. It seems those that don't own these amps are the loudest in their opinion and yet are talking out their arses and taking Glens word as "The truth" instead of finding out for themselves.
what cab did you use ?
Would of been a mesa IR
Glen's presentation needs to be more accurate. As you said, he tried to match the amps and dial the settings so that they would sound close. That's a wrong presentation. An accurate would be to dial the amps with the same settings (let's say everything at 12:00), and that's how you can hear the difference.
KZread reviews should be a starting point only, not your final source of information before you go buying things. Before I buy my amps, I go to the store and try them myself. I've had an Orange Rocker 15 and I now have a Mesa Mark V 35 based on this way of evaluating, and I liked them both. I am currently looking for another Orange head, and will probably go for either this Supercrush 100 or shell out big bucks for the Rockerverb III and call it a day. Don't know which I want to do just yet. But yeah, don't make purchase decisions based on videos that are most likely sponsored anyway. Go and try it yourself.
Wish I had that luxury... No decent guitar shops within a reasonable driving distance so purchasing online is the only option for many. Guitar shops are on the way out...
@@KaddysJamKave For the record I returned the Mesa and got the OR30 tube amp instead. Much less time wasted on EQs and knobs and more on actually playing. Cheers!
Hahah enable\disable FX loop that what I was looking for 😊 thank you!
Can't the problem be solved with some pedals or an extra eq? Something like the Boss Metal Zone maybe?
Somewhat... Check my video "Americanizing an orange super crush"
I think you should swap out the voice of the world speakers
Uh, that would be difficult since I don't have them
Ibanez mini tube screamer ?
Vintage 30👍
How did you deal with the licensing? It wants IK Multimedia to run and that's not installing on wine
Kaddy, the ESP Ltd. EC-256 is a well-kept secret. I bought mine retail from the local Guitar Center (which neither good nor bad) for US $400, marked down from US $499; Black Cherry Burst. Many folks see it as a pure shred unit, but it is quite a bit more. I play all kinds of classic R&R on it. The "Thin U" neck is great and I'm very happy. Have fun!
Yeah, I've been watching his videos for several years and generally like and get something from it. But certain things such as the intermittent completely unnecessary strong anti-Christian rhetoric causes me to click away and to avoid watching for some months until I stumble once again on one of his videos and give it another chance. Everyone's got a right to an opinion, though IMO a lack of a filter regarding such topics likely turns away more people than it attracts. And though sometimes I am a bit surprised at how similar some things can be made to sound, I also know things that can sound similar can also be made to sound (and react) very differently from each other. For example, I bought a DiMarzio neck pickup recently, and it definitely sounds very different and noticeablly less powerful than most other single coils I use. It does sound good but has to be fought with more to try to make up for the lack of gain in comparison to the bridge pickup. There are many variables, and though I do believe one can use one high gain amp to get tones that will cover well enough a lot of ground that others do, I also agree with your sentiment, and my 6505+ is still a different animal than a Dual Rec or a Mark series Mesa. Also, I got here by way of your Amplitube/Linux videos. Thanks for putting those up. 8)
KISS "Heart of Chrome"
You know what I've noticed? On recordings 2 very different amps can sound very similar but when you A/B them in the room with a short space of time they can be VERY VERY different and have a clear winner when time is not a factor in between. I thought the Randall T2 sounded very much the same with these settings and it certainly sounds similar on this recording... but when you quickly A/B them the Marshall DESTROYS the Randall. Moral of the story? Don't trust the sound you get from a recording over a quick A/B of 2 different amps because you lose your perspective and point of reference and cab Mic's don't capture the sound you get IN THE ROOM. JVM wins in real life unfortunately for my SS Randall fanboyism.
Hell yeah, this was one of the final things that prevent me from completely switching away from microsoft. Will give this a shot on arch, damn fine work
whats the song title?
Becoming
Katana or dark terror for small brutal gigs?
If you don't need to switch channels and only need a high gain channel then DT. If you need channel switching and effects and don't mind spending hours tweaking with a PC or mobile phone then Katana... Plus it's way louder 👍🏻
have you tested the super crush with 70/80 ?
are you using two SM58?
You probably have one of the coolest looking room I've ever seen
