Leave it alone
Not to long biggest one I saw in Maine 1/4 mi long
You sound like you're from Minnesota or not far from it. Northern mid USA. I had a friend that was born and lived those surrounding states with the accent you have. Yes, 1st time I've crossed your shorts.
We hope you stick with us. Please check out our channel. If you enjoy the channel, please share and subscribe. Thank you!
Awesome
Free bird
Nice buckeye 2,5 inch diameter 3 chime
You guys crack me up haha. Big help with big smiles. 🏆
The train enthusiast tricycle
That thing is tiny compared to what runs on the welsh highland and ffestiniog railways
She sounds and looks great
Beautiful! Thank you for sharing!
She is beautiful
What railroad is that originally from
The Standard mining CO.
She's lookin' awesome!
I loved swapping those sticks around just to mess with the surveyors
Hey I know that engine.
Are you sure? 🤔
No way you could. Thing was scraped by his owner 2 years ago...
Hi Chevy!!! I'm sure Mike doesn't know but it's hard on reverse gear in the transmission backing up on the "high side" being it only has a bushing and not a bearing... Surprised Caption Clayton wasn't involved with this
This is fascinating, real-world engineering.
Never a dull moment, good job!
New subscriber to your channel. Starting to binge watch your previous videos.
Thank you!
Well done guys!
I want to be there 😍
Fantastic . that's all I can say

we have nothing like that in australia people restoring locomotives and equipment i really wish we did we do have a rail museum
Sounds like you have an opportunity! You could be the first one!
Que legal
Fantastic . looking forward to seeing the locomotive in action
Hopefully, very soon!!!
Nice shot . Looking forward to seeing more
Just wanted to know what is the running pressure.
From experience, even a standard gauge velocipede will quickly derail in reverse. Something about the geometry of the outrigger.
It's definitely one of the scarier pieces to run out here next to our fairmont speeder 💀
This was awesome❤
Thank you!
Nice work
Thanks
Looking great!! Sure wish I could have made it back.
We finished in one day
Do you own the equipment or rent it
Colleur contracting owns the equipment. He sponsored part of the railroad grade, Colleur's cut equipment is donated in return. He is also a good friend of mine.
Who´s the star ? The dead kettle or the working Plymouth that we don´t see completely ? 😢
😂 The 1715 will always be at the forefront of our Railroad. She's almost all painted up and ready for firing this season! You should be able to see the Plymouth in or more recent shorts 👍
Coal ash is hard on paint. Far far better at the end. Good steaming😊
Almost all painted. We will probably fire up next week!
that will look great doing a mile circuit
I can't wait!
To save time, there is a way to stop that ram that clamps down on the piece to Not retract off the board but a few inches faster reset time.
Make sure there’s a Oil in the cylinders when you’re doing that and everything is lubricated
For sure! I oiled it up before we moved it.👍
@@LibertyFarmsNeoWilsonRailway It just sounded like you were scratching the cylinder but that’s just me
Yep, the cylinders only get lubrication through emulsified steam carrying it. When it sits over the winter and condensation causes surface rust on the cylinder walls, there's really no good way to lubricate the cylinders. You can dump some thinner oil directly into the valve chest and it may help somewhat, but because there's not flow through the valve ports it really just dribbles down to the bottom of the bores.
Ah, so THAT's why it doesn't sound like a steam engine!
Do you soak/coat the exposed end of the tie with something to preserve it from rotting. Addituonally, with ties being so prone to splitting, are you not concerned about the lack of truss plates on the exposed end?
TIE longevity has much to do with the creosote dip qualit. Few things to do to help increase replacement time. But you can always make your own or purchase modern concrete with rebar material ties
Hello! Yes we do take all these things into consideration as doing what we do, we prefer to take the most effective/efficient route possible. Once we get further along and we can lay down some rail we will be taking all necessary steps to prolong our work so we don't have to go back over it again 👍 As to what methods we will be using we will have to wait and see for now :)
I found your channel through KZread analytics, but I believe it was fate. My wife and I lost our son at 17. You are absolutely correct. Losing a child is the hardest thing anyone could ever experience. Parents should never have to bury their child. I would love to say that it will get easier, but, it doesn't. Daniel has been gone for 17 years. I think of him every second of every day. I though my wife would never smile again, but we have adapted. You never forget, you just learn to accept what has happened and move on. I hope to someday visit your little railroad. My wife's family is involved with railroad maintenance and repair here in Ohio and across the country. I think it would nice to see a railroad that is used make someone smile.
Thanks for sharing a little of your story. Last year, we did 2 events for parents who have lost children. And we are planning one for the near future. We hope to hear from you again. P.S. I'm so glad you adopted. We are not ready for that yet.
Sorry, I reread your letter "adapted" we are still working on this.
You even have a K2 dynamo?! That’s gotta suck your steam down
The dynamo currently is not producing electricity and will need some tinkering. Very good eye though! 👍
