    Hi Patrick There are a number of versions of this effect some are based on Okito's Visible Block Penetrations and others are not. The give away is the slow-motion penetration. You can see many variations here: www.martinsmagic.com/product-tag/visible-die-penetration/ Thanks for commenting.

  • @martinsmagic
    @martinsmagic7 күн бұрын

    Hi John - I always thought this was much nicer than the Mikame one. And the speed can certainly be adjusted. You have to be careful however as you can get in the situation that the coin doesn't fully disappear. But if you spent some time with the prop I'm sure you could come up with the optimal speed that you are looking for. I think for a live performance you could easily make it twice as slow.

    Alan's is much closer to the traditional Mummies created by Taytelbaum, Inzani-Henley and Oskar Rey (you can see photos here: www.martinsmagic.com/the-wandering-mummy/), however this version by Tony Lackner was the first one I owned and I think that plays a big part in why I still love it. Hi John - as I said in my write up on my website ( www.martinsmagic.com/allmagic/close-up/mummified-divide-by-magic-wagon/ ) how can you not love this release by Magic Wagon - a perfect working, miniature version of the most iconic magic illusion of all time. I was trying to show how clean this effect is by showing all the angles and was pretty happy with the final cut. The UK trip was a huge success but the Porcupine was way too busy for me to pull out a couple of tricks when we went there :-( Thanks for commenting John - it is good to be back in the saddle, even if the first week back felt a little strange.

That effect is one of my favorites and I've created quite a few more videos since that one: www.martinsmagic.com/allmagic/cards/double-back-by-jon-allen/ My channel is primarily aimed at magic prop collectors who want to see demos of cool magic props - and although I do have some actual performances to lay people ( www.martinsmagic.com/some-recent-performances/ ) most of my videos are what I call Speed Demos ( www.martinsmagic.com/recent-speed-demos/ ). So I understand why my views are low.
