Dracula asked God to spare her because she fought with all her loyalty. But the request was ignored and he became angry and inserted a sword into the cross.   Loving you Keeps me Alive is Junsu's favorite. I think he gets lonely every time he does Dracula and wishes he was the one in love. He gets sappy when asked during interviews for Dracula about how he longs for finding his destined one.

  I have to take off my hat to you. It’s one thing for us hard core Junsu fans to watch Junsu for HOURS lol but I imagine it’s quite a task/chore for another person to have to sit through a lot of material (liked or not). Even in the same fandom we have different tastes, some songs that delight others make us cringe and vice versa. So thank you again and again for indulging us. You are like our Santa Claus making Christmas come early! I’m also glad that you can be honest about performances you don’t like so that at least when you say you are enjoying a song it feels genuine. Being a hard core Junsu’s Dracula fan one thing that hit me was that there are A LOT of different versions of Loving You Keeps Me Alive sang by Junsu and I agree that tempo in this version is very slow. It probably would have been better for you to see the version uploaded on JYJ official YT channel if you were listening to it for the first time. It’s a little bit easier on the ears for the first time 😊 And I have immediately picked up that the lyrics you were reading to Loving You ..are totally incorrect. I think they are from the English production of Dracula. The lyrics re-written for the Korean version of this song are quite different. (even if you read the subs on the vid you played you can tell the difference). They have more depth and emotion. BUT yes, YOU would totally get a cavity from reading the full version because they are “saccharine” sweet lol so I don’t have the heart to ask you to listen to another version or to find proper lyrics for the Korean version. Dracula has so many different numbers and I keep changing my mind which ones are my fave from day to day lol. What I really loved about your reaction is that your marathon consisted of Junsu “through the years” - baby Junsu emulating MJ with his fun Xiahtic, the musical actor with Dracula and the seasoned performer still bouncing around on stage just few months ago with very respectable choreo moves. I am so pleased you commented on the quality of his voice. Junsu singing live is my ult enjoyment. Thank you for making us so happy. ❤

  Wow. I never expected to see an hour length Junsu reaction video. Thank you so much. Junsu really shows his acting talent at the highest level in Dracula. He is known as inhuman character master in Korea 😄 Because his most legendary roles are non-human or lunatic charachters like Death, Dracula, L and Dorian Gray. She is a song included to the musical because Junsu felt the obsession of Dracula towards Mina doesn't make sense in the original storyline and asked to Frank Wildhorn if he can include a song about Dracula and Mina's backstory. The story of Elizabeth (Mina in the past life) was his idea. Not only this one. He gave many ideas. The red hair of Dracula, the setting of the stage at It's Over and Mina's Seduction. He even brought stage equipments with his own money. To be honest, it wouldn't be a lie to say he is the non-official co-producer of this musical. Loving You Keeps Me Alive is not my favorite song either. However i can understand why Koreans love this song so much. It feels like a classic Korean ballad with beautiful lyrics. The lyrics of the Korean version is 10x better than the original one actually. Junsu sings this song with very exploding emotions and it fits his voice very well. Nevertheless, if it was me i'd recommend you Fresh Blood, Mina's Seduction or It's Over instead of Loving You Keeps Me Alive. I love The Longer I Live too. The performance is more impactful on the actual musical set.   Thank you, as always, for your reactions to Junsu ❤. To be honest, The Longer I Live is one of my favs, that performance is amazing! The thing about Junsu's singing (one of the many things 😂) is how he tells a story and compels you to listen. Even if there are no subtitles, you UNDERSTAND. Many singers have great techniques but lack how to connect to the audience through emotions. A singer (any artist) has to work as a mirror and as an open door to audience and Junsu does that (sometimes just with his facial expressions). You can tell right away that he's there and only there. One of a kind!!!!! Looking forward to the 2nd part :)

And he is the acclaimed dance machine. He's loving it, in his recent interview, he said that when he was a trainee a main vocal need not to be a dancer, but he wanted to, so he spent a lot of time dancing and became a really good one.❤ TVXQ debuted as accapela dance group ❤❤❤❤❤ Thank you for tte video, I'm desperately waiting for the 2nd part ❤

I like that number very much (though my favourite is still The Last Dance from Elizabeth’s musical) but it’s always good to learn things compared to a broader spectrum.

  Nice reaction! I have loved Xiahtic since it came out. Junsu wrote it and compose it, which is maybe why he included a little keyboard solo :) It's a pity that he lost the rights to this song, both in Korean and in Japanese. I really like singing to the Japanese one (though no Key in that one). Considering their schedule back in those days, I'm surprised any of them had time to be composing any songs at all, and I'm kinda glad the choreo wasn't much crazy. They all had to learn tons of choreo for their Mirotic Tour, as well as their Secret Code Tour in Japan, which happened basically back to back, and both discographies were vastly different, with only Mirotic and Purple Line being in both tours, if I remember correctly, so it was mostly new songs in both tours. I feel really bad for them, yet they were so professional, and Junsu really loved performing Xiahtic! Wish he could have sung it more times ❤

It's called "Our Season" and the lyrics is very touching. I felt very nostalgic while translating it into Spanish. It's supposed to be a song for the youth, but I'm in my 30s and I felt very, very, nostalgic myself. Edit 3: The lyrics of Loving you Keeps me Alive you reacted to were the English ones btw (: it doesn't matter if you react to another version or not but i strongly advice you look for the correct translation, it's much better than the English one. Also, She was included in the musical because of Junsu's idea. He wanted to give some context about why Dracula loved Mina so much so the audience would fully understand. And I would also like to recommend the latest LYKMA (you can see how his performance of the song has changed in these 10 years since the first Dracula). Junsu has really mastered Dracula's feelings.

  Just a little bit of research on someone new to you might help prevent you from making silly and embarrassing errors. In all my years of listening to IU I have NEVER her anyone accuse her of using auto tune. This includes at least one channel of a sound engineer who points out the use of auto tune and shows it to you through the usecof electronics. And he has never detected any such use by IU. There was one channel who claimed that she was lip syncing her song Blueming in a live clip of her 2019 Loce Poem tour. It was the most ridiculous claim. The part they claimed was when she was actually holding her mic towards the crowd for then to sing with the backing track. It is the only time I have ever seen someone accused of lip syncing when they weren't even actually singing. And hopefully by now you know your KZread reaction to Eight was not even close. Although coming into this song without any background it is understandable. But just in case you have not been informed about the meaning of the Song I will give you as short a version has possible. IU released this song on May 6th of 2020, six mo the after she completed her Love Poem tour. At the start of her tour she learned of the suicide death of one if her best friends Sulli, who was a singer and actress as well. The had known eachother for 8 years having meet on a TV show they cohosted. Sulli was the 2nd friend that IU had lost upto that point. The 1st was Junghyun of Shinee who committed suicide in 2017. And during the 2nd night of her tour in Seoul she learned of yet another friend who had taken her life as well Goo Hara. IU had difficulty finishing the concert. There is a fan cam video of her talking to her fans about the news and her struggling to sing her final song. Within the context of these events she wrote this song as she struggled to deal with these events. The video, like many IU MV's has a lot of symbolism, images and metaphors contained within it that it you are lacking the background information you will certainly miss and may miss even if you are well versed in topic. The lizards, dragon, items in the house, the house itself, the animation scenes are all very significant and help tell the story. Looking at the lyrics from this point of view makes them very clear. It is not a space ship but rather a memory recording device. As the songs tells us her memories are wearing out and she doesn't want to forget her friends. So she is recording her memories where her friends will remain forever young. There are explanation videos of this and other IU songs on KZread that do a pretty good job of pointing things out and telling you of the connections, but not even these videos capture everything going on. This song is part of her age series. Which lead some to believe early on that the song was about her reflecting on her past. Using the Korean age system were you are 1 at birth and your age changes at the 1st of the year, ON January 1st of 2020 IU was entering her 28th year. The title has several references. To her Korean age of 28, 8 placed on its side being the infinity sign meaning forever, and the number of years she had known Sulli. In the video she is seen with 27 pearls glued to her arm. This signifies that the events she is struggling with occurred during her 27th year. At the end of the video the E in Eight, the 3 legs split off leaving the I and forming the U meaning IU has for now split off from her friends to continue living as IU. There is so much more still in this MV, but I will leave it at that. One more thing IU has done using her lyrics and MV's to tell stories. And that is she will use multiple songs and MV's to tell a story in multiple parts. The best example of this starts with her song You & I which was released in 2011 and is about the boy she loves being in a coma. So she builds a time machine. In the MV she sets the future date of .Dec 31st 2019. In Dec of 2019 she released the MV for her song Above the Time. Which picks up the story. She also released Blueming which is part 3. Then in Sept of 2021 she released a single Strawberry Moon which is the final part completing the story over 10 years. IU is a generational talent. Rolling Stone added her their list of the 200 greatest singers of all time in January of 2023.

I then enjoy reading comments to educate me further and provide background, as you have done, which I very much appreciate. I don’t intend pointing out the autotune as an accusation. Tuning vocals is standard practice in pop music (and most other genres) and is expected, especially in studio recordings. As I said, while I noticed it here, it’s not very excessive compared to some other stuff out there. I look forward to checking out more of her music soon :)

  I can’t help it, I’m back to say that - I am ADDICTED to watching YOU watch Junsu from 25.20 onwards…..it’s like poetry, your face tells a wonderful story and I really enjoyed the moment when you realise that Junsu can indeed ‘sing like THIS’. Reminds me of me the first time I got to appreciate that he really is a vocal powerhouse. Thank you again ❤
