Retired 50 year, Hmmm in Sweden you retired when you are 64 year old.....
Hi and yes your video title " retire at 50..." was tempting BUT as you said it is not for majority of people! In Canada to get that monthly pension of $1400 CDN you gotta work min till age of 65. Two very important questions for you: 1) Does Hua Hin have a "good" hospital? 2) How much per month/yr that "fantastic" healthcare of Thailand " costs? ( does it cover Ultrasound, MRI, X-ray, etc.) We all know for old people access to hospitals is a MUST! Thanks for your help.
I live in bang saray but moving to Hua Hin in September with my thai partner. When i was single it cost me about 40-50k for normal living. But i was seeing freelancers and bar girls back then which put me up around 100k. My government are stealing money from property investors so my budget will be going from around 110k a month to 80-85 so this is refreshing that a decent life can be had there for this budget. Great vid
Thanks for watching mate 🇹🇭👍
My guess is the materials at 1:09 are formwork, possibly for the columns. Cheers.
It was just hard to communicate with Thais. and they don't look after their husband much. and lots of them are Buddhist and less catholic. Enjoy your stay in Thailand. Visa are not easy to get now in Thailand. We heard that Thai people doesn't like lots of foreigners going there. The only thing too is not everybody speaks English. you need a translator.
I agree some what you mention. like the food yes, Thailand is my choice. I'M a filipino and I agree. Typhoon in the Philippines is always there.
Nice one thanks for sharing 🇹🇭👍🇵🇭
Thanks mate, I'm moving to Phuket in September from Australia, I currently drive a Landcruiser and I'm thinking of buying a Hilux when I get there.
Awesome choice 🇹🇭😎
Hello, your videos would be a lot more appealing if it where edited with pictures and images to break up the concentration it’s a bit boring just watching you these videos are targeted to 25-40 yr olds not 50s you need updated content creation
lol ok mate whatever
Some KZread expat reported that there is some kind of new tax for farang living in Thailand. Do you have any fact, information on that?
Not really my thing mate I’m not a tax man sorry
I don’t know if showing $15 USD HP sauce while saying it is affordable living was the best idea..lol
😂😂yeh probably wasn’t a great idea
Only the most virgin Pacific Ocean 🌊 water 💦 that enters the Philippines and exits to various Asian countries due to the rotation of the earth 🌍🌎. Love the Philippine beaches. Same is true about air.
Thanks for sharing 🇹🇭🇵🇭🙏
You look like Uncle Leo from Seinfeld
Is that a compliment 🇹🇭😂😂
@@georgenewmaninthailand2495 He was very handsome!
Very helpfull , thanks
No worries mate glad to help🇹🇭👍
Thai taxes on foreign remittances are another expense.
👍
Awesome George. Looking forward to visiting HuaHin. Pattaya is not my scene but Phuket has been great visiting several times .
Glad you enjoyed it mate🇹🇭😎🙏
Boss I'm from Malaysia how to get job in Thailand plz I'm very interested to come and working Thailand
lol🇹🇭😂😂if your asking I’m sure maybe too difficult for you
Im turning 58 and plan to retire and travel there in February. Money isn't an issue but i have 2 elderly parents and a brother in the states. I just can't stand this environment in California. I have been to Thailand and loved it more than the Philippines. I want to sell my house and never come back except if something happens to my parents.
Sounds good 👍
Time of 'yer'!
Great video! I'm a new subscriber but I like what I've seen so far and Khao Takiab beach is our favorite in Hua Hin, love it! When you walked down there we sometimes stay at The Bihai, last hotel on the left. Then when you arrive at the beach our favorite small and simple restaurant with sun beds is to the right, longing for our return there.
Thanks for the sub! And thanks for watching Hua Hin is a great area beautiful place 🇹🇭👍😎
Many farang have been chewed up and spat out in places like Pattaya, tread very carefully fellas.
Problem of hua hin beach is jellyfish and i dont feel safe swim there, also dont see much people swimming but just walk
I swim there but yeh the jelly fish are a bit annoying at certain times of year 🇹🇭
Lots of information in this video. Great video! Wordering with a budget of USD250~, is it possible to rent a small detached house (or any living space that are detached) in Hua Hin ideally with a small yard in an area that don't have a big crowd but convenient location for publuc transportation, shopping (for grocery and everyday necessities), easy to get around? Can one get around by riding a bike (bicycle) and is it safe to do so? And what are the differences between Thai style house and western style house? What websites ( or any other sources) are good, reliable sources to find rental listings and rental agencies? I'm thinking about retiring in Thailand, and Hua Hin sounds like a good choice ( but i'm open to all locations). I'm single, no family, and a minimalist so I don't need a big living space. I'm a bit of a health nuts so like to cook my own meal and (whenever I can) have grocery deliver to me. Do you think all these are achievable in Hua Hin (or other Thai cities)? Are cellphones and tablets expensive in Thailand? Thank you. 😊
I’ll try and cover some of this in upcoming videos so many questions from everyone sorry hopefully I can just cover the answers in a few videos so everyone can see🇹🇭👍
There’s no retirement visa in Vietnam, Cambodia has the easiest long term yearly visa!
Fair play🇹🇭👍

Retired American 🇺🇸 here (with a Thai wife, she's a retired Dentist 🦷) Hua Hin is BY FAR best place in all of Asia to retire 😊

So as brit if i had 20 grand in the bank but only a state pension of £870 a month i can't get the retirement visa ?
You have answered your own question.
As a Brit with £650 grand in the bank with £4500 per month pension, I qualify. 😊
Thailand is no longer attractive because of the taxes you have to pay on the foreign retirement income, which was no longer the case earlier. Thanks.
Ok thanks for your you r comment🇹🇭👍
What happens when you get so old you loose your faculties?
Yep it’s something to thing about make sure you have good support around you like anywhere in the world 👍
If they loose the marbles can no longer sign paperwork at immigration need home help care what happens ?
Yep that’s a problem everywhere in n the world make sure you have family around you
My monthly retirement income in Baht is 135,935.
Nice one mate easy life👍🇹🇭
Nice one mate easy life👍🇹🇭
That's a good amount 👌 i think 100k a month plus is where you need to be to live a great comfortable retirement.
👏👏
30k a month is existing not living 😂
Everyone talks about "how cheap" it is there. I'm a homeowner average expenses say $2.5k per month is that expensive? Move to Thailand a third world corrupt country to live on half that? Get hammered every time you go to hospital? New taxes and living with a Thai woman whose financial contribution is $0? if you call that a life good luck.
I not really agree with that my wife earns more than me mate just choose wisely. After a few years living in Thailand I earned more than I ever did in England and the medical care here is fantastic if you have medical insurance 🇹🇭👍
Visa's , language barrier and possible taxing of retirees are making me think about other places.
Vietnam, Philippines and Thailand are all good choices. Thailands not for everyone😀
I think that the 65K monthly requirement by Immigration for the Retirement Visa is a pretty decent mid point for anyone contemplating what are the finances need to live long term in Thailand.
Agreed mate thanks for watching 🙏
DONT RETIRE IN THAILAND AND AVOID ALL THESE BULLSHIT FINANCIAL REQUIREMENTS. THERE ARE OTHER COUNTRIES MORE FAVORABLE TO RETIRES
There are other countries that are good too yes like the Philippines or Vietnam but for me Thailand is the best for retirement overall🇹🇭👍
30k baht a month is fine if you dont drink or smoke..keep it real fellos
Everyone’s different mate😎
@@georgenewmaninthailand2495 how long is a piece of string . Educate yourself mate..😁

Check out the video I did last week about Hua Hin and Retirement I think you guys might find it interesting 🙂
Some people only get a work pension on £800 per month and are 55 and live in Jomtiem on that and have some savings
Nice one as I say there are ways of living and retiring on less 🙏
So those people don't smoke, drink or have fun with bargirls.
@@marcom2248 Oh no! that's horrible!
Great video. I am moving there in two months. Your videos among many others have helped confirm my decision it is the right place. I have visited there 5-6 times so have a very good feel for the town. I appreciate your breakdown of the costs as well. I am definitely going to splurge on my housing as I am coming from Northern California so even luxury accomodations are extremely heap by comparison. I am fortunate to have a decent budget, but knowing how I can save money on food, groceries, transportation, etc. will help stretch every dollar.
Nice one mate good luck with the move 😀
If you live in Thailand you automatically become a diehard, Thailand will extend your life by 25% or more. Healthy food and no depressing, when you live in the land of smiles. I have a friend from the state, he was illed, full of depression, and never smiled. After he is in Thailand for 1 year, now I can see he smile a lot.
😆😆cool thanks for sharing mate
Great video, thx. Do you know how long you have to leave Thailand to renew a tourist 60 day visa?
I’m not a visa expert I don’t want to tell you wrong it depends on lots of things
Any jellys or sharks?
Few jelly fish mate washed up on the beach sometimes🙏
PLEASE COULD YOUR ADVISE
INTERESTING , I NEED A HOUST IN BANGKOK

money is way better in china. i get 37k after tax, which is 180000 thai baht after tax....
im a teacher
Nice one you must be a fully qualified teacher mate I reakon or live in one of the first tier cities on that salary👍
@@georgenewmaninthailand2495 yes you are right, Shanghaii. Also, im not fully qualified
A question and a request. The question: They've probably been building and selling this style/size of house for years. How do they hold up, and how do they do as resales? The request: Find one of these under construction, and do a video walkthrough. I'd love to see the quality of the construction that can't be seen behind the nice looking finishes..
These houses are not the same as the west😎
@@georgenewmaninthailand2495 I can guess that. The question is, what are they like?
Late to the party, but any concerns about flooding or other natural disasters? Me and the Mrs. are considering retiring there. Thanks!
There is flooding in Thailand but Hua Hin is a dry area in the country compared with other places.
Thx
No problem😎
