As a traveler, you may have a good travel experience in Japan, but after living in Japan for a period of time, you will feel very depressed, and distance from each other. Japanese people seem to wear a mask in their daily life, polite on the surface but cold in the heart, following various social rules. The social atmosphere is depressed

thanks for coming to Japan! normally you can use only cash in a ramen shop I’m not sure but I guess it’s related to earthquakes (when it happens electric stuff can stop) from my point of view

  • @redfish337

Because their vending machines only take cash - they aren't like Matsuya or whatever that can just afford to replace their machines with something newer all the time. AND... even if they replaced it to allow credit for example, that just means the credit card company takes/steals ~3% for the convenience of using the card. A big store like Parco or Yodobashi Camera might be able to make up the difference because people paying with credit cards are more likely to spend more. But someone coming in to a ramen shop is just going to buy their 900 yen ramen or whatever. Paying in credit isn't going to make them looser with their money at a ramen shop but it'll cost the ramen shop an extra ~3% or so.

店員の気持ちとしてはチップを渡してくれようとするその心遣いが嬉しいんだと思う。そして男性が変わりにお賽銭箱に小銭を投げてと言っています。 私たちがお賽銭をする意味とはその土地の神様に日頃の感謝の気持ちをお伝えするためにやっています😊 I think the waiter is happy with that thoughtfulness in trying to give me a tip.And the man is asking us to throw coins into the money box instead. The meaning of making a money offering is to express our gratitude to the gods of the land.😊

8:24 Olie, may you soon get your bag, gears, camera 📸 and the lost memory card fully secured and intact asap!! 😔 👍 Bad luck 🤞 but, All the Best 👈 My heart 🧡is with you for this - as all your hard work will be in those lost recordings. Take better precautions next time of locking the bags with a single chain in busy crowds of such places!! Put the video resources that are not backed-up in more secure bags while travelling and distribute your gears in different bags or take extra care of your costly gear bag especially while on the move. Don't worry 🙂 ..Best Wishes 👍

I think Tokyo is a very special place in Japan. Because people are physically close to each other and it becomes difficult to secure personal space, give-and-take occurs. As a result, I feel that we have come to respect each other as individuals. As someone who finds interpersonal relationships bothersome, this kind of atmosphere actually makes me feel comfortable. Although Japanese culture tends to emphasize cooperation, there are many people who feel that individual freedom should be respected. The coldness of the city isn't all bad :) Japanese people may not show their emotions much. But often it is based on the desire to live comfortably with each other. I'm thinking hard about how I can tell the other person without being rude. If you ever come to Japan again, please enjoy it!

Back in the days of the British Illegal & Brutal Occupation of India, the Britishers, simply in order to disrespect Indian religions, used to go with their shoes on, inside temples, Gurudwaras etc.

Part of India's wealth disparity is to be blamed on the Britishers. British during their Illegal & Brutal occupation of India stole our resources, apart from the brutalities they committed. The people who took over post independence from British Illegal & Brutal occupation didn't help our case either.
