The video begins with me waking up in my traditional Japanese room, both anxious but eager to undertake my first ever ski run. I wandered down to the hotel lobby to grab some breakfast at 9AM before realising I was the last one out of the hotel (skiers must get out early!).
We then got kitted out by some friendly foreign staff how were in the middle of working a ski season in Nozawaonsen. It was then time to head up the mountain. Being a beginner, my friend followed me down a green run giving me some ski tips on the way down. By the time I had done a couple of greens it was time to hit a red! As it turns out... that was slightly too ambitious and I got absolutely wrecked trying to ski down that part of the mountain. I essentially rolled down haha!
Day two was more or less of the same, although I felt much more confident in my ability. I tore up the green runs by myself in the morning and hit a red or two later on (with slightly more success).
It was an incredible couple of days in the Japanese mountain range. I'll treasure those memories forever.

I can assure you, it's much faster and steeper in person. The camera doesn't do it justice 🤫😂

In March, April and May, you can enjoy skiing and snowboarding in Hokkaido, just a two hour flight from Tokyo, or swimming and scuba diving in Okinawa, Miyakojima and Yoronjima, both just a two hour flight from Tokyo.🏂⛷️ & 🏊🚤
I'm a Japanese senior citizen living in the US. Nozawa is where I used to ski more than 50 years ago. I am so amazed to see so many foreigners there. A word "katsu" came from an English word "Cutlet" and in Japan that means meat (any meat) breaded and deep-fried or very rarely baked in an oven." "Chikin katsu" means "Chicken cutlet", "pooku katsu" means "pork cutlet" and "biifu katsu" means "beef cutlet". Have fun. One day ski lift cost 800 yen when I was young and it felt so expensive as I was a student.

You're great! You enjoy the ski, experiences first? I totally agree with you in terms of your trying spirit, I'm jealous of you in this video. This is perfect experience!!
What a great experience in Nozawa Onsen!!
I never would have thought about skiing in Japan but seeing you do it for the first time made it look like so much fun! Thanks for sharing your adventures, I've been following along. Loving the videos! 🙂
Well done you made it!😊
Great content! I wish look you skiing again
Are you really a beginner? You are so good that you don't even look like a beginner. Please enjoy Japan!

Don’t expect to learn anything from this guy, after spending several years in China he barely spoke any Chinese l. There are plenty of better video channels around.
This was actually hilarious... Your experience is probably the same as many beginners. You did pretty good although going down the harder runs was a poor decision 😂

Oil! Thank you for taking us skiing! You did a great job! My question is, what’s going to happen to the channel when you leave Japan? Where are we going next? Can we go to Thailand? ❤

Appreciate it! Luckily, I didn't lose it... I was having a total brain block. 😂 I had forgotten my wallet in the morning and totally forgot that I asked my friend to help me out with 20k JPY which I had spent on the gear and ski pass haha!
When was this filmed? I'll be going there is a few weeks... Hopefully there's still some snow.

About 3 weeks ago. We were already right at the end of the ski season so I'm not sure if you'll catch any snow. Enjoy your visit, however!
Thank you for your interesting videos! In Japan, there is a chance that your wallet will be returned, so it might be a good idea to ask the people at the facility.
3pic vid. Getting the hang of the slopes 🤙👍👍👍
Nice to meet you....................I watch KZread! The snow has melted now, but we have snow and skiing in Tohoku too. I think it's wonderful that you have so many different things to do.
You did NOT look like a beginner! ✨ Well done!

Oh thank you!
Maybe he didn't hear your words correctly. The word "katsu" means "fried." Chicken curry is not ``curry with fried chicken on top'' but ``curry with stewed chicken''. What you wanted was "chicken cutlet curry". I hope your journey is a good one.

You are a born skier. It took me one winter to ski like you did. You are indeed a snow boy.

what a suck clerk katsu doesnt mean pork.
If you don't prepare in advance, you'll end up in trouble with no money. Next time you come to Japan, please bring more money. All convenience stores accept credit cards.
did you asked for your wallet on information.? someone might have picked it for you.

Hi there, How are you? If you do not mind me sharing; a well-planned, organic and unrefined plant-based diet (consuming edible raw plant foods where possible so as not to denature enzymatic activities beneficial to the human system. If disagreeing on this matter, please try planting some steamed carrots and see if they will grow; if they fail to, it is because they are 'dead' plant food that cannot fully nourish one's 'living' cells) consisting of organic fruits, vegetables, legumes, nuts, seeds and whole grains is the best diet to provide mankind with ultimate health and longevity. These foods, fresh and grown in rich soil, are found all the essential vitamins, calcium, carbohydrates, fats, fibre, minerals, protein and water needed to make good blood and enjoy health. Please avoid meat alternatives that contain harmful preservatives and additives e.g vinegar, a corrosive agent. Food toxicity and nutrient deficiency (e.g white bread, white rice and white sugar) are a deadly combination as one is hindering the body's building materials needed to action healing whilst at the same time taxing the system with more damaging toxic things, thus bringing about disease and possibly even an early death. GOD Bless 💙💙💙
