After 25 years, recording albums and playing live on worldwide tours, The Gathering decided to celebrate their 25 years of history with an unique concert featuring all the past and present members of the band.
As a result on Novemberber 9th of 2014 the band played two sell-out shows at the Doornroosje concert hall in Nijmegen (NL) featuring songs from all their albums with collaborations between past and present members in front of an audience of fans from all over the world.
This concert was inmortalized in the beautiful live album "TG25: Live at Doornroosje" released January 2016.
Although the band didn't record any video footage, many fans attended the shows with cameras and captured loads of beautiful moments. This channel is a collaborative project between fans to create a concert film for this album. For many of us it was not possible to attend to this shows, this is the closest way to live this experience and celebrate with them their 25 years of diving into the unknown.

Heard this live in 2007 at Sibiu. I was waiting for the next band and this song came up. I was literally not prepared and it hit me like a bus. It was a trance, an extasy, something hard to describe but overly powerful almost to panic. Never a song hit me so hard and so deep. Her voice went to cosmic heights. I was not prepared..

The Gathering have evolved from doom metal to prog metal, prog rock, post rock, trip rock... They're hard to pigeonhole If you want to listen to their metal stuff listen to their debut album "Always..." (1992) with grunt vocals by the way, or their highly acclaimed "Mandylion" (1995) The Gathering were and still are a band in constant evolution from album to album. In this concert (which was supporting their acoustic live album "Sleepy Buildings") you'll find many acoustic songs but also some metal pieces like "Strange machines" or "On most surfaces"

Estuve presente❤ con 34 años de edad,hoy 54. Fue una gran experiencia!!! Teatro providencia, se realizaron dos shows pues el primero se vendió rapidísimo , actualmente este es el Nescafé de las artes, donde también se presentó Anneke con su banda.

This band are so good. It mystifies me why I had never heard of the Gathering until about 2 months ago. They have produced so many great songs and are so talented. Nighttime Birds is one of my favourites.
