So would I. I missed their gig twice in late 1990s due to an illness and the chance is there no more. The Gathering and Type O Negative, two jewels of atmospheric music that are gone with the wind.
She sang even better here, amazing voice
This group should have been more popular in the US, but they remained rather unknown. They were great, and Anneke was awesome.

They didn't fit the mold in the US. First all metal bands had to be party rock - think Aersmith or Guns n' Roses - and after that they had to be numetal - think Blink 182 or Limp Bizkit. Less conforming bands like The Gathering or Lacuna Coil never got any exposure because they didn't fit the programming.
What a voice!
This brought the best tears of Happyness ever. Annekee forever

"Mandylion" is an unrivaled masterpiece. Alone is superior to all the albums of Nightwish, Epica, Within Temptation and other bands that emerged afterwards. The Gathering at the time of "Mandylion" and "Nightime Birds" was unbeatable. Classic.

Yes, I'm from Spain, fan since early-mid 2000's but I was underage at that time (and lived far from big cities) so... not many chances to see them live (until now)

I'll try to answer your questions. (Sorry, my dutch is not very good and google translator has it's limits ^^') The band members right now are: René Rutten, Hans Rutten, Frank Boeijen, Silje Wergeland and Hugo Prinsen Geerligs. They have programmed some tour dates for their 30th anniversary tour. You can check them on their Facebook page!! :)
