I don’t recommend this, but I never use the guard unless I’m using a cutting or sometimes a wire wheel.Like i stated “I don’t recommend” unless you trust that you have enough experience and trust your skills.Even I can have an accident but I’m prepared for the consequences.

Amazing!! How much did you spend on this? How much did it cost on average?? How long did it take for you to make it?? I’m surprised at how well it is made.

Hello Karl, With admiration I have followed the construction of your 40t forging press, as well as the recent video where you present the upgrades. In this video I can see a press with only one hydraulic cylinder in the background. Does it also have 40t pressing force? What is the difference to the press with the two hydraulic cylinders? Since I have been wanting to build a forging press myself for a long time, I have a question: Would you be able to put together a parts list for me, of course for a fee, which you decide according to your effort? Pump, Hudraulik hoses, hydraulic cylinders, metal thickness, etc., so that the parts harmonize with each other. Regards, Ulrich from Germany

Hello. The press in the back of the video is a 25ton I made for sale. I can send you some parts list. You want to build a 25-25ton with one cylinder or a 40 ton? Are you on facebook or Insta ( for easier comunication, sending pictures?)

This guy gave up on his bike because he said it lacked power. The two cylinder air compressor should have given it all the guts it needed. Just looking at the video, it occurs to me that his teeny-tiny piston valve probably isn't letting the engine breathe very well ... with a bigger valve (and a boiler capable of feeding it) that thing should have been overkill for a motorized bike. If you look at photos of Westinghouse engines (or Stuart Turner Sirius engines) having the same layout, you see a significantly larger valve.

When there is no conversation about this build, I'd prefer mild music as my shop and garage give me plenty of shop noise. Just please let me know if sounds aren't for instructions I'm now seeing the progress is alsome, but I'm lost because I complain about the noisy video and giving thumbs down because of the noise I'm liking your hammer skills really nice Tommy Hawk but excuse me it a axe as thehandlemountfrombelow sonot a TommyHawk but really nice. please work on speaking to us and cutting the shop noise as my family doesn't like it either. But yeah you are a Smith with skills so let see more I subscribed

Hi Karl ! Super press! And a super video! Are you open to doing some consulting if I take on building a press close to yours? It will be my second press to build, but first with a hydraulic pump. And heck... no need to apologize for your English. It's super! I wish my Russian was that good! ))) Every year it gets a bit better!

I had a lot of old pipes and rebar to cut up and from what I read kzread.infoUgkxPDBfLu68o58Aw85O_J-zIFfjJARBhp-3 this would be the tool for the job. Since I had never used one, I watched a couple of youtube videos and I'm so glad I did. Some really good safety tips, which I followed, and this tool did a splendid job. One good thing to know is the weight of the tool puts just about the right amount of pressure on the metal I was cutting, so I didn't have to use a lot of pressure, which is more likely to jam the tool. It made fast work of my job.

Hi great build ! What were the specs of the rams you used and does doubling the rams equal double the pressure ? I would think so but have been caught out before with assumptions lol Cylinders are so expensive here in the uk.. a 5” bore 2” piston here is £1000!! Crazy money I’m now thinking of a 2 ram design as it may be cheaper as the rams would be smaller and easier to source new or second hand
