I got a sidebar troubleshooting tip! I have a “master” mixing valve under my bathroom vanity sink closest to the hot water heater. When the mixing valve fails it’s suppose to fail on the cold water delivery feed so as not to burn the user. My hot water issue was with my mixing valve not the water heater.

Thanks dad. The power company hit the main water line and gas line. The water company came out and did some repairs and I had no hot water after that. The filter was full of sediment. I took the filter out and let the water jet out for a few minutes. Had hot water right after that. 👍🏽

Our tankless waterheater has been working well for 6 months. This morning we had no hot water flowing through the unit. We have no error codes. It is 50 degrees around the unit, and the filters are clean. Do you have a suggestion?

This was an exact replacement for the old one that lasted about 10 years. kzread.infoUgkx7yWIKcrbA9KMHkGSfcgxW2lsjHT6B8Sh The top of my mitigation tube by my roofline was just a 90 elbow which allowed too much debris to fall down into the fan, eventually ruining it. Without this issue, I bet it would have kept running another 10 years. When I replaced this fan, I added an extra elbow joint so the top tube now it does a 180, which should solve that problem. The radon guys around here wanted to charge me a $300 diagnostic fee, then parts/labor (probably close to $600 total). I installed this all by myself in about an hour for the cost of the fan; it would probably be even easier/faster with two people. FYI the manufacturer's warranty greatly differs depending on whether you install it yourself (1 yr warranty) or have a licensed installer do it (10 yrs).

Not sure if my water heater is older than that it was installed in 2021 but I don't have that whole panel in the front that shows you the flow and all that is that something you buy separately?. I'm having a no hot water issue but I have a blink code it's blink code number three apparently that says igniter issue somewhere I read online and I can't figure that out I clean the igniter rods they seem to be getting spark but it won't ignite the water heater

I had mine installed last fall and no hot water... it happens in the shower and kitchen. I'll be trying out some of these today. Thank you. If there is a chance you can show the maintenence on an actual installed one. That would be great. I almost flooded my basement. 😮

Plumbers charge way too much to install these or water heaters - on a $329 electric water heater they want to charge $1700 to replace it.

I thought a flexible gas line is not permissible. It must be hard piped, right?
@dvcrocco3 жыл бұрын
Depends on the local utility. NFG code allows a properly sized flexible connector. Still need a sediment trap, however.

2 gas shut off valves that close to each other are not needed. That check valve shown better be a spring loaded check valve, because if it's a typical swing check valve it's not installed correctly. Swing check valves can only be installed horizontally not vertically. Only problem I see so far is the lack of a shut off valve on the hot side. Reason being you won't have to shut down the whole building water supply if you have one shut off valve on each line. It also helps to do service or swap the unit out easier and quicker, no need to pull the TPR in order to drain the system or open up faucets and turn the whole building water supply off.
@dvcrocco3 жыл бұрын
I have never seen a check valve on an installation like that. Also, it is a swing check and will always be open.

All that beautiful work, love the safety gear, but what about escutcheons? They would clean up the bad drywall around the pipe through the wall.

The proper plumbing kit for flushing the scale build up out of the heat exchanger is not shown or even discussed in this video. It all seems professional except for that one major oversight.
