  Write something on the dam cables so if the end gets screwed up you know what sides positve and negative for god sakes. No diagrams can be found anywhere on your sight thats worth a crap

  I bought one 3 years ago and probably used it once or twice. I have always kept it charged. Got it out the other day and there is something wrong with the little box on the cables. I eliminated the box and it works fine.

  I did exactly the same way to jump my car, but did not work at all. What did I do wrong? I saw another video and the poster said to connect the SL1 and push the buttom and start the car not rightway. I might try that in a little bit.

  Mine generation or two older then that one. Me and pops bought a 6/12 volt battery charger from a store in wv called Hecks. That's been 35 years ago still works. Looks beat up little but functional like its day one unit.

  Have one never could get it to keep charge. Like new still. It charges up work if used that day by night definitely next day nothing. No way get 16 maybe 2 attempts. Then no go. Other than that loved little piece. I use my shuemacher old bigger one WITH 12 VOLT LEAD ACID SEALED BATTERY IT NEEDS NEW BATTERY TOO PROBABLY.

  Ultra capacitor batteries should not have this issue where you have to have a minimum of 8 votes to jump start a vehicle. what's the point of an Ultra Capacitor then? A quality ULTRA CAPACITOR can jump START a DEAD BATTERY!!!

  It's not actually required to have a minimum of 8V for this to work, it can pull the charge from a battery that's lower than that, but it'll just take more time to charge up. The lowest voltage required is going to be based on the tolerance and patience of the user. A USB power bank could be used if you have 20 minutes to a half hour to spare, but no one has time for that😅 If you really want self reliance even if you drain the battery down to fully dead, just carry around a small 12V SLA battery asking with this for charging. It doesn't need to be in particularly good condition to work, just deliver 5 to 10A, enough for the boost circuit to work at a reasonable rate.

  @dubmob151 I get that. interesting ti know why specifically they chose 6.8 vs 8. All these years, the few mfg that design and make their own tools found that 8 is the standard. Now they ( Renny and Dynabrade)discovered that 6.8mm is an optimal number. Intersting.though Is that they named the tool The DB"8" interesting.

  The irony is he is a product reliability specialist. Yet they ship out with issues. I have a Schumacher 200amp starter and 50 amp charger that I have had for many years but the timer dial never even worked. It turns it on, but will never count down. Got it as a Christmas gift so couldn’t return it. If anyone knows how to fix these timer dials, I would love to know.

  Why does it take so long to charge. Wtf. Did u skimp on the build quality by putting a paltry 5V2A input. Dude this thing is like 100$ and u skimping me on a part that has a direct affect on my poor customer experience, now it's going to be another 8 hours to start my car because this thing is dead and won't charge faster

  I have this exact one is it suppose to be quiet when it’s charging? It shows that’s it’s charging but I dont hear anything not does the rear fan spins, is this normal?

  We have a dsr 114 and upon replacing the battery.. we found a brass nut under the negative cable.. what is that nut for.. ?? And where does it go... ???

  If a battery has no voltage will it let it charge or is the “smart tech and reverse polarity detection” going to keep it form charging? I’ve seen smart chargers that would not allow it to charge because it sees no voltage so I guess it’s not sure what the polarity is therefor no charge.

  I feel grateful this reconditioning program kzread.infoUgkxcJ22tnHH9l1vjdIdEIG27iOG55P7LXI8 was started. I had Three dead batteries scheduled for disposing of. Having said that, I tried out reconditioning them and it took me only an hour to do it! It doesn`t matter what type of battery you want, the process works.

  DONT BUY IT UNLESS YOU ARE READY TO DO BATTLE WITH SCHUMACHER. THEY CAN BE OK, BUT IT MAY NOT WORK RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX AND WARRANTY IS ENOUGH HASSLE YOU WILL GIVE UP
