Was planning on donating an infusion pump for a long time now... but it was too costly. If anyone is interested in selling one of these to me, I'd love to connect with them to discuss further details. Thanks. 👍🏻😊

    what would happen if you would place something under the microscope that doesnt let light through, like a shiver of rock, crystal, or a butterfly wing and illuminate it from above. Even though these tiny crawling and swimming microorganisms are fascinating from a scientific point of view, me as an artist, want to create beauty; stunning pictures that i can use as they are, or use them as part of a collage, for example. Colour and sharpness of the images is now of the essence....would this microscope be useful in this endeavour?

    There is an additional benefit not mentioned. If the printing block wears out, you can just print another one, identical! Also to smooth out the print you could put the printing block on your heated bed with something flat and heavy, just briefly, to slightly melt out the imperfections.

    I have 3 printers operating in the 3x3 m room, and there is also a Xiaomi air purifier with presumably a HEPA filter. While the air purifier is measuring PM 2.5 at 0-1 which is like the purest you can get, going inside the room after 2-3 hours of simultaneous printing gives me a bad cough right away. IDK, maybe it's the smaller particles like PM 1.0, or the really dry air (28-30% relative humidity) or the oxygen burned out by the high temps, but it's not as harmless and normal as I hoped it would be, additional ventilation is a must. P.S. I'm printing with PLA

    Just stumbled onto this channel and had a quick question. Why did you choose ABS and not a water soluble polymer like PVA? is PDMS compatible with H2O? i assume so right? Also greeting from the netherlands!

  • @v_saggiomo
    @v_saggiomo10 ай бұрын

    you're right. It is possible to use PVA and someone did it years after we used ABS/acetone. In 2015, when we did it, PVA was not yet that much available, and very difficult to print. Nowadays it's better. a second point is that ABS/Acetone is faster than PVA/water as acetone is swelling the PDMS just a little bit that favours the dissolution of the ABS. cheers :)

    Alas, I have seen two resin 3D printers that are much smaller. One was a tiny heirloom printer made of wood and brass where possible. The other was itself mostly 3D printed and fit inside a large Christmas Ornament. That one definitely worked, and printed smaller ornaments.

    This is an awesome project. I've built two but I'm having Wi-Fi connectivity issues with the ESP-32 board, it keeps disconnecting after a while (maybe 5 minutes, I didn't time it). I did some online research and found that this is a common issue with this particular board. Do you have any workaround for this issue?

  • @v_saggiomo
    @v_saggiomo11 ай бұрын

    unfortunately those bords are picky sometimes. try to decrease the resolution and quality, from time to time they reset. We are trying another board, the XIAO SENSE, that seems more reliable, for a little bit more money: matchboxscope.github.io/docs/Hardware/SeeedXiao it's still under development, but, so far it seems to work way better than the standard ESP32
