    Good video, I think Tom and Jerry's main issue over the years is how a lot of it's shows (Including Tales) doesn't really stand out from the original series or each other. Tom and Jerry Singapore is a good step in the right direction but I think we need a show that really experiments with Tom and Jerry in order for them move them forward and stand out.

    I watched this :) But apparently, while writing the script, I combined this show with the rest of the series that were released during this period. It’s strange, the series came out, got one season and closed. And then a new one appeared, created according to approximately the same formula. I'm not saying that it was exactly like that. This is figurative. I'm sorry if you were waiting for this show to be mentioned😅

They still air The Tom and Jerry Show from 2016 (or whatever) over there, as well as some of the oldies and the 60’s Chuck Jones version. I personally like the 2021 movie, it’s alright, really. Definitely not as good as the 90’s movie. I think Tales is also pretty good. I am pretty sad about the outcome of poor Tom and Jerry today, and I hope one day they have their big return, but for now they’re just condensed into a big pile of reruns. They had a detective show in whic Tom and Jerry work together to solve some crime or something. Thats the last I remeber from watching Tom and Jerry maybe things changed. @@jami.j2044 I agree with you on the animation topic. I respect the work of animators who use technology to create projects. Considering how many possibilities modern tools open up. But my soul lies in manual animation. The greatest magic is when you deform drawn objects. You take a few shots, and then use a slide show to create movement. Have you ever watched the Disney movie The Reluctant Dragon? Exactly the full-length version, which showed all the processes of creating a cartoon. Huge cans of paint. Celluloid. Creation of sound effects. I think this is what heaven looked like :D

    @@ringapol Well now I watched the whole 1 hour film I can say that was hour well spent. Lovely stuff from old disney(production of animation,color,sound effects and voice actors pouring their loungs out). The whole feel of the old celluar animation is like smooth,a bit snapy and expresive. Thats what I like the most about it! I just dont like that in modern times the animation is so stiff and lacking in expression. There is no unrealistic wabbeling or stretching of the body. I now I sound like someone that hates new things,but how can I like something that just lacks something that makes the artform that it is with out the fetures that makes it so good in the first place. Not to say that all animation must contain these fetures Im just talking about Tom and Jerry here specificly. Hell one of mine favorite films is a short film by the name of Tifusari. It very minimal in animation and color yet very effective at saying what it wants to say. Surviving the cold and harsh night by willpower and comradery. Animation is supposed to make you break free from the shackels of reality and potrey things in the way that you just cant express in the real life. Thats really all that bothers me. People are just boring in the way they animate now. The more a thing is simplefied there more pointless it feels as concivence and thats what I thinks happen to modern animation. Its just uninspired garbage most of the time and some bangers here and there.

  • @ringapol
    @ringapol5 ай бұрын

    @@jami.j2044 Well and I watched Tifusari. I’ve never even heard of it, although I’ve watched a huge number of animated short films from different countries. And it was just wow. Limited colors can sometimes create an atmosphere better than a full collection of photoshopped colors. And you are absolutely right that a high-quality animated film is the best guide from reality to escapism. In general, any movie is a break from reality, but because of its visual appearance, the cartoon copes with this much better. Anyone can pick up a camera and start filming another person. But not everyone can make animation. Sorry, sometimes it's hard for me to concentrate on one topic, and I spread like honey :D About classic animation. I don't have the most typical example, but.. Old cartoons about Asterix. For example Astérix et le coup du menhir. This is amazing. A real palette of colors, animation and detailed backgrounds that are more reminiscent of a painting. I really miss this style. And when some people say that this is impossible now, I cite the recent Cuphead Show as an example. Yes, it's not the same. But the imitation of golden age cartoons was amazing. And even new technologies came in handy. Previously, there was a house painted in watercolor in the background, and the opening door of this house was painted with the same colors as the character and the difference is sometimes noticeable. And in the series about Cuphead, the door moved in the same “watercolor style.” Everything is possible. There would be desire, talented animators and money

    The problem with tom and jerry is that the formula has been ruined due to modern society deeming cartoons as things made for only kids, when the tom and jerry show came out, the franchise was pretty much stripped of its identity,. tom doesn't even try to eat jerry anymore, which kinda killed the whole cat and mouse premise, i honestly think the series could start gaining some more traction again if they focused more on tom and jerry as characters instead of the environment, in every movie/show revolved around these two its always tom trying to get used to the environment so that he can catch jerry, and then jerry finds a way to use it against him, i feel like instead they could just make tom use his wits to overpower jerry and then the whole chase formula could ensue, but this time jerry strikes back and then other characters get involved within the conflict to make it more entertaining for not just kids but teens and maybe even adults

    I don't like "Tom & Jerry Tales" because I personally don't like how they handle the fantasy environments. Just felt kind of boring and predictable in areas such as the genie episode and the Japan episode. I really don't like "The Tom & Jerry Show" because the plots were usually not as interesting and there was WAY too much talking from the other characters. Feels like they also tried to cash in on nostalgia by doing things such as bring Uncle Peco back. Definitely wasn't as funny. The newer ones just don't feel as creative to me with a lot of gimmicks used and the use of other IP's for the movies like The Wizard of Oz movie and Sherlock Holmes. I like the older versions of the show that had smooth animation and were very creative and even artistic. Loved episodes such as when they fought in a pool table, when Tom flies around in a girdle, the episodes that take place in concerts, the Mouseketeer episodes, the elephant mouse episode, the space episodes with the robot versions of the characters, the fire works episode, and many more. Just felt like they hit a good balance of wild energy and creativity back then. Now it feels like they're trying too hard to have stories out of place for Tom & Jerry such as that one detective episode from "The Tom & Jerry Show". I also prefer the animation from a lot of the shows back then for the darker colors and the back rounds. I think the animation now a days is usually too bright and smooth and not as natural. Also preferred how the violence was handled along with the sound effects and the iconic yells from Tom. Could just be nostalgia but I don't think I'm far off from thinking that Tom flying around in a woman's girdle to catch Jerry and his bird friend is more interesting than watching Tom and Jerry screw around with a genie lamp like every other cartoon character.

    Finally, someone besides me noticed it! I really love golden age cartoons and twentieth century animated television shows specifically because of the color palette. The colors are slightly dark, but at the same time bright and rich. In short, these are real paints applied to celluloid, not a computer palette. But the people I try to explain this to look at me as the highest stage of nerddom. And I agree with you. Even "Tom and Jerry Kids", despite the strange concept, looks better than Tales or Show 2014. But I am supportive of Tales. To some extent because of nostalgia. But there were a lot of good and high-quality episodes. Something could scare, make you laugh, or surprise you with its creativity. Scare in Over the River and Boo the Woods. Make laugh in Eggs Beat Surprise with creativity in Spook House Mouse And pay tribute to the classics in the episode Fraidy cat scat Plus, the animation in this show is good. The animators were still drawing frame by frame. It wasn't as energetic as the classic episodes, but it wasn't bad either. Thanks for sharing your opinion

    1:36 I like the call this the hello Kitty affect where they don’t exactly have a fanbase and yet no matter where you go, they show up for some reason in branding being on TV randomly like they don’t have exactly out there content that’s probably mainly because the characters usually don’t share a lot of personality. When I mean personality I mean like they don’t talk and yeah hello Kitty characters do talk, but it’s more of a aesthetic first characters last Tom and Jerry it’s shenanigans first conversation last.

    Wow that's a great comparison. I don't know much about Hello Kitty, but they don't seem to have the same personality as Thomas and Jerry. But I could be wrong. I just haven’t seen a single media project based on this franchise. It's more like a brand. But TnJ is still a unit of art. I don't know what to call it correctly haha

    I watched Tom & Jerry when I was 3 on the old Boomerang and one of these Tom and Jerry episodes are funny. Right now I remember the episodes that day and I don't understand other people's opinions on old classic shows and movies in the modern day right now like I seen the Polar express several times, I watched PIXAR Cars (2006), Lazy town and Thomas the tank engine etc...

    @@TrainMedia00 This is great. I also sometimes remember the huge number of animated projects that I watched as a child. And I definitely didn’t watch them in vain, because I was able to return to most of them as an adult

    Warner Bros. appears to be miking Tom and Jerry and Scooby-Doo franchises every year. Just like Disney does to their Marvel and Star Wars franchises, Paramount Global does to their South Park and SpongeBob Squarepants franchises, SEGA does to their Sonic franchises and FOX does to The Simpsons as well. Anyway I love Tom and Jerry and it's one of my favourite cartoons of all time. Greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪

    Hello :) Sounds interesting, but it seems like South Park is in better shape right now, right?

    @@ringapol Hello. Maybe I guess. The Simpsons, South Park, Family Guy and SpongeBob Squarepants have been running far too long. I think Warner Brothers should need to take a break from making Tom and Jerry and Scooby-Doo cartoons. Happy New Year and I hope 2024 will be a good one. Merry belated Christmas. I hope you had a nice Chrimbo as well.

    @@Omegajunior2658 Aww this is so cute. Thank you, I congratulate you on all the holidays too. I hope from 2024 your health will be better and better. I just think that health is the best gift we need. Yes you are right. But ideas live forever. And I think the secret is how to deal with these ideas. A commercial conveyor work or a real desire to create a unique project. And in gratitude, the consumer will always bring money. Scooby, Tom and Jerry, The Simpsons, and even more so Family Guy and SpongeBob, unfortunately, so far fit more into the first option.
