I ride this bike every day and it amazes me everyday...the high speed stability is incredible, no need for steering damper here..

I have the standard 2018 model and love it . My only regret was not getting one earlier .

Nice review. These type of bikes are about so much more than speed. Supremely comfortable, stable even on a windy day, and huge grunt when you open the taps. I have owned 5 Hayabusa's but now on the lookout for a ZZR1400.

@@Killswitch-ON Sure have. Bought myself what must be one of the last brand new ones left. Not the Performance edition, just the ABS but no complaints from me, it's truly stunning. Syrupy smooth compared to the 'Busa, and more comfortable too. No regrets. Thanks for asking....

I have had x2 Gen 1 ZX14R and now have a Gen 2 big difference in ride and performance - every time I twist my right a big smile appears on my face great touring and stable bike and everything you mentioned on this video is bang on.

Owned the generation one ... and that was a lovely machine ... now I own this model .. and I beleive after 11 years of riding ... this zzr1400 has it all and more ... a credit to kawasaki ... what a machine they are..... there is no better bike in my view.... and its gorgeous from all angles.

I have a heavily modded amd tuned 2018 ZX14R and it is amazing. I ride solo but my wife also likes to ride with me and this bike is enjoyable for both of us. It still turns great in the twisties. And the power it delivers is addictive. It's a DREAM to ride. Best aerodynamics on any bike ive ever been on. In the tuck, at speed... it's so smooth and intuitive. What you said it 100% true, you just look and think and the bike follows! It's an often overlooked dream of a bike. Not as flashy as the high end liter bikes but DO NOT SLEEP on this bike. More power and nicer to ride than a Hayabusa.

i love my 2019 zx14r abs se. i started riding streetbikes around 1991 when i was 20 years old. ive owned 10 bikes with the zx14r being my current one for the last few years. it still scares the crud out of me. ive made it faster and more comfortable. 1" bar risers, rear lowered slightly, touring windshield, billet levers, center stand, K&N air filter, Delkevic exhaust and a MOORE MAFIA tuned ECU which also removes the top speed limiter.

Always puts a smile on my face every time I get on. Like it’s my first time!!!!

I think I’ll have a new 2022 come spring. I’ve had lots of big powerful bikes 🏍 but I’ve wanted one of these for years. I am really looking forward to next years riding season.

My old zzr1100 blows my mind. God only knows what this is like. I want one.

I have a 96 1100 and a gen 1 (08) zzr1400 abs, id never sell, more than capable of cornering and not many bikes have the imposing silhoutte of these bikes, even boy racers dont even want to try their luck!

Your right,just got a 2012 with full akra system,ohlins etc baffles out ,print out 214 rwp and 127 ft/lb . Boy racers take the the next left when behind.lol. Sounds like a V8

No idea whether they've upgraded the seat since 2012, but I fitted a Sargent seat when I bought mine, and it takes the comfort to another level, especially for the pillion.

I got 1 bike same as yours, awesome, my dream bike.

I have had 2 over the last 15 years.110,000 kilometres. The bike pulls up with massive engine braking so its real safe. Totally composed at any speed. Handles rubbish roads. Even gravel. Its easy to ride at low speed ...idling moves it just rolls forward. It never wobbles. Top speed unlimited is 203mph. It rushes to top speed no winding out. Its not heavy especially if like me your other bike has been a big cruiser. I put a bigger screen and bar riser. I cruise at 140 to 160 kmh. It has low power Eco mode which gives 16 kms per litre. I use it on a long run when theres no v8s or Beemers to race. Thats in country Australia where we dont have quality motorways like in UK.

Had one not the performance edition put a full 4 into 1 r77 yoshimura exhaust system and reflashs the ECU unreal different have a H2 now

I owned a ZX14, sold it and bought a Ducati 1299 Vtwin. If you want to win on the racetrack....Ducati. Ducati wins at everything on the track. The Kawasaki......It's a comfortable, fast, aerodynamic, passenger friendly and overall better bike. The Kawasaki will not win on the racetrack...it wins on the everyday fun and comfort factor. I still have my 1299 Ducati in the garage, but haven't driven it in a year and a half. I will end up dead. The Ducati will have you getting in 8 police pursuits and drag racing at 120 mph in 45mph zones. I will keep the Ducati as my track only bike, but I will be buying a 2020 Kawasaki as my next daily driver

@@mLearningCommunity Hi Pete. Yes very and it's extremely expensive to replace. If not already done join the U.K. ZZR1400 forum. Loads of tips on there and literally everything you might want to know, it's all been done/solved before. I highly recommend it and it's free. There's a guy called Max who sells guards very well made and very cheaply too. And no I'm not pushing his stuff I don't even know him. Members recommend his stuff. 👍

@@steepriderz9003 If I could add a tip (first though I really enjoyed your review). You and several other reviewers have noted the handling can be just a bit sluggish. That's exactly what I experienced with mine until I changed out the stock tires. I had Michelin Road 5 tires put on and the handling difference is night vs. day. The turn in now is absolutely effortless, but the bike still feels like it's on rails. I just love it. Plus I like the fact that those are arguably the best wet weather tires you can get. My 2 cents worth is you can't go wrong with those tires and you'll love how the bike handles if you give them a try.

I have the 2007 and replaced all six standered bulbs with LED, ( T 10 and H 11S) much better,great bikes.

Performance Sport includes also Akrapovic.

Great for touring as very comfy and lots of wind protection, it can make around 257 kilometres if your sensible!

@@steepriderz9003 Thanks a lot, pal! Oh, 257 kms is too little for me. Imagine you make 1000 kms a day (which is not very much for touring), then you are going to do 5-6 stops to get petrol.. The bike looks amazing but "kilometers per tank" is really important for me. Like+subscription :)

I have an 06 Gen1 with 140k km (87k ml), bought it with 80k km (50k ml) , so I rode 60k km (37k ml). From my experience, the most I filled up the tank with was 23,5L (over the tank neck, almost up to the filler level) and the farthest I rode with a tankfull was 395km taking it relatively easy, on national roads, at around a steady 120km/h (75mph), like cruising. In hot weather, with temperatures above 30ºC (86ºF) consumption drops by about 0,4-0,5L/100km. My best in a tankfull was 5,4L/100km (44mpg US / 52mpg Imp) and my average on 60k km (37k ml) is 6,2 L/100km (38mpg US / 46mpg Imp) .

I really wish Kawasaki sold this version in the US, with the touring seat, touring windscreen, Öhlins TTX shock and Akrapovič slip-on’s. At least we now get the Brembo M50 calipers with matching rotors and master cylinder. I may wait for 2021 to see if we get something new, but it’s a Ninja ZX-14R here, a hyper-bike, not a sports tourer. Stupid marketing.

I thought 2020 was the last year for the ZX-14 in the United States? I wanted one because of that; until I heard the parts supply is already beginning to dry up.

Trae UCity I don’t think it has been confirmed. And parts don’t dry up immediately after a model that has been produced for 15 years ends production. That’s not how major manufacturers supply parts. You can still get parts for 20 year old bikes.

Jonathan Winn Yes for Europe and U.K. not confirmed for US or other markets, but it’s likely.

They are the best bikes, im on 2013 zxr1400, restrictions off up grade parts performance then dino 211hp and wow. They best at corners into and out. Tyers are most question, ive put on all types, but the best one so far is rossi2, rossi3 ok but 2's is the best. My feel anyway. Temps plays a roll depending on ones looking for. Days rides windy roads rossi2 or battlelax are great too. Enjoy to ride guys

Hi Carsten. Compared to what though? I thinks it's superb TBH but you are in a semi crouch position really. It's supremely stable and yes it does feel like it's on rails, side winds do not bother it at all in my experience. It's no Goldwing but you know that.

In a comfortable fairly-upright position, even with the "touring" screen, I find that at 6 feet tall the wind hits me in the face. For shorter riders, or those happy to lay on the tank, it's fine. There's a reason touring bikes have those massive screens stuck at the front :)

Tyres probably the cause of the issue you mentioned.

yup leaving the want to be in the mirrors is very easy. Did that do a group of corvette, mustang and camaros .... poof. And just made a 300 SRT cry. They just have no idea of the astounding power.... 200kms and it is just ready to peal off your face.

Mine has gone up in value. Id probably get £1000 pound more than when i bought it. I cant bear to part with it.

Kawasaki should have made a limited run of a supercharged version of this before they discontinued it 😂

I have one bike like that, yes is very powerful, a lot of good things...the ride , suspension, brakes,...but ... Insurance... expensive...very expensive...mine is in the garage now with only 300 miles on the clock... , engine needs to brake in...

I been up to 180 on the freeway scary tunnel vision but I was ok at 170 that was my younger days I have more sence now still like speed but no more cruseing between 110 and 170 at which I thought was a normal speed for me on the freeway can't drive like that in Texas the police will Shoot you off your bike and take your money once had a chopper over head at 160 on bolder hy in Vegas I slow down and decided not to challenge a chopper over head😐

I have the gen2 14 and the zx12r before and find the 12r to be quicker on the roll on speeds. And more comfortable.
