That 'Every girl's crazy 'bout the sharp dressed man'-chorus gave me the biggest smile of joy since a long time. Being bipolar, it is sometimes hard to find something to get me out of the downwards moods, but this raw rock energy is one of the things that helps bigtime. I have to confess that there is one thing I still have to get used at with Elwoods replacement: he seems to be just the same height as Billy , but apart from that, his energy and musicianship makes him a worthy new member. Keep on rolling, lads!

You did a great job of recording this video that's definitely worth watching. I'm curious about how you held your iPhone so steady. Did you use a gimbal, or something along that line? I've got a ticket to ZZ Top's July 3rd concert. My seat is at the very center of the 8th row in the center section. I can't wait! Ann Wilson was supposed to be the opening act, but that was cancelled for some reason. Ticketmaster announced yesterday that Collective Soul will now be the opener for ZZ Top. Awesome!

Hey Tim, thanks for viewing and your words of appreciation! :) I've recorded it by holding iPhone in one hand leaning on the armrest and holding it with another one for further stability. Definitely not the easiest exercise haha! I also decreased & fixed exposure which helps on a bright stage like this. Have fun on your Jul 3rd concert! Live-sounding bass was remarkable to hear! You could try to replicate it by playing this video in a car with a good surround system.

@@easik Thanks. I watched your video on my TV with my Dolby surround sound system, and you're right about the remarkable sound of the bass. Your system for holding your iPhone steady worked well, for sure. Like you said, I'm sure that wasn't the easiest thing to do, but I think the excitement of being at a concert might help adrenaline to kick in and make it possible to do that longer than usual. I remember when I recorded Steven Tyler's entire concert in San Francisco in 2016 with my iPhone 6 Plus. It didn't seem too difficult at the time to hold my iPhone steady for that long, but looking back at it, I'm kind of amazed that I pulled it off, lol. The best personal moment of that concert for me, came during Steven Tyler's song "Love Is Your Name". I was standing at the far left of the front row, right next to the stage. About halfway through his performance, he grabbed his mike stand and came walking across the stage in my direction. I was stunned, but managed to keep recording when he suddenly was standing right in front of me. He continued singing as he leaned down toward me and pointed his finger at my iPhone from just a couple of inches away. For several seconds, he looked directly into my iPhone as he sang. That was an incredibly awesome moment in time that I will never forget. He totally made my day! If you'd like to see what it was like, here's a link to my video... kzread.info/dash/bejne/a2ZoxLKJeqe6h6Q.html

Just went to my first ZZ Top concert in Greensboro NC. They put on a Hell of a show. Hate that Dusty Not around anymore, but Elwood really fits in with Billy and Frank.

I heard BILLY SAY ONE TIME,,"YOU CAN'T PLEASE EVERYONE" AND THAT'S 100% TRUE!! like all of you out there still BALLING ABOUT DUSTY BEING GONE AND IT JUST ISN'T THE SAME ETC. well to me it SOUNDS JUST AS GOOD NOW AS IT EVER HAS!! and thank goodness and God that BILLY AND FRANK DECIDED TO KEEP ON ROCKING THE ZZ TRAIN!! yes it's kinda odd not seeing Dusty up there as we have for all these YEARS,,but dusty was HUMAN JUST LIKE US ALL AND HIS POOR BODY JUST GIVE OUT!! IF YOU'RE A TRUE ZZ TOP FAN,THEN YOU SHOULD BE GRATEFUL THAT THE BAND IS STILL MOVING ON DOWN THE LINE!! AND KEEPING THE ZZ TOP BAND SPIRIT ROCKIN ON!!! instead of WHINING ABOUT IT NOT BEING THE SAME WITHOUT THE DUST!! ELWOOD IS DOING AN OUT STANDING JOB! ALL YOU "TRUE" FANS KEEP SHOWING YOUR SUPPORT!!! ALL YOU FAKE ONES GO ON ABOUT YOUR HATEFUL LIFE!! AS LONG AS THEY HAVE THE WILL POWER AND HEALTH TO CARRY ON,,THEN I PRAISE THEM FOR DOING SO!!
