    Congrats on completing another gruelling tour mate! I think I preferred this one to the others too, due to the races not being quite so long and the routes were all fun too. You did great in this tour and moved up so many places after the first ITT, congrats on moving back to B cat too! 👊💪💪💪

    Thanks very much Linda 🙂 one of the reasons I kept going and kept pushing was to not let you down so thanks for being there throughout! It’s been emotional but happy to complete another tour! I can see you doing one of these… just saying!

    @@notpogi I really understand what you mean when you say it's emotional. I'm trying to do all 24 stages of the Tour de zwift and I'm getting there. I'm going to start stage 3 today but it's a push. Between having to do things after work and a power failure one night I'm trying to squish it all in and oh yeah, there's that editing thing too. Yesterday morning I got a very early, couldn't sleep to do the shortest one and a friend pulled me the whole course. I was in tears afterwards because here's somebody you've never met in person, they're a sub, they've become a friend and they do this for you and they have no idea how hard it's been for you. Emotional indeed. And you would never let me down even if you had to quit a ride. You're a good man and you do your best.

    First of all congrats with your efforts. But I think I have a good tip for you for climbing on great climbs like alpe de zwift and epic KOM. I use a cadance from 90-100 when I’m climbing and that allows me to keep on an effort from 320-330 watts on climbs. I think u’d be faster on those climbs if you’d also do this. It saves lots of energy I swear.

  • @notpogi

    @notpogi

    6 ай бұрын

    Thanks very much 👍🏻 also thanks for the tip, I will give it a go because I do feel I get a little bogged down when the cadence starts to drop and it becomes tough to keep peddling at low 70’s rpm. I’d love to be able to hold as many watts on the climbs as you can 👍🏻

    Well done on the iTT pacing! I had a similar strat and thought backing down to z2 or so on that little downhill worked well. Also love the bianchi bike! I have the oltre xr4 myself

    Thanks David, I really needed that little break on the downhill but it seemed to work out ok! I absolutely love Bianchi’s - the xr4 is still one of the best bikes out there, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to part with it! 👍🏻

    Congrats and great riding! I cracked pretty hard just before the start of the epic KOM, but it was my fault for not eating enough the day prior. Stage races are educational, aren't they? :) I enjoyed this series very much and I'm looking forward to the next FRR event. Are you interested in participating in the next one starting late February?

    Thanks Dustin, really appreciate that 👍🏻 You’re absolutely right - stage races are educational!! I’ve been there many times before where I’ve not fuelled correctly - it makes such a difference! It was a superb series, glad to get through it but also a little sad it’s over, I enjoyed seeing the same names everyday. I will wait for the next tour details to come out but yes I’d like to give it a go! 🙂
