The BOV doesn’t make the sound, the turbo doesn’t have a BOV that’s why

Why does the BOV hiccup that often? I get that sometimes it happens when he's not fully on the throttle, but other times i could swear he's smashing his foot down and the BOV still hiccups. Anyone care to explain?

Compressor surge because there is no BOV, it's setup that way so when you let off and get right back on throttle you don't lose boost

please explain to me why he doesn't have to use the clutch when upshifting but he does while downshifting

The Swimming Carrot Because it's sequential gearbox you don't have to use clutch it's automatic. But when he downshifts he uses manual clutch so he can rev match with throttle which makes the downshift smoother. I guess those cars don't have automatic rev match and if he wouldn't use clutch the revs would climb up so fast it wouldn't be good for gearbox. I am not 100% sure if that is the reason but it makes sense to me.

The Swimming Carrot In a sequential it's up to the driver if he uses the clutch or not. You can use it all the time, or not at all. Some pilots brake with left foot and blip the throttle when downshifting (it dosen't work if you don't blip). Others simply heel&toe with no clutch, and the third kind, like this guy, use it like in a H-manual. By the way, you can also no-clutch-blip-throttle-downshift in a H-manual aswell. It's all about prefference.

Not a BOV, a lot of people mistake it for the BOV making the sound but it’s really the compressor surge

Near the top, it looks like the fuel pump was mucking up like in the 2014 run.

Ghost Assassin yeah, something is fucking up. Maybe too small fuel cell so when running too low and with high G force, he vant Get fuel? Proper fuel cells have foam inside to prevent that. But he is hitting high G force. Or he need a "catchtank" for the fuel so he always have fuel to the pump.

What's happening when the car makes that coughing sound so often?

dB The car, as the turbocharger is pretty custom as well..this is not a standard GT3 but a GT3 Cup.

Sequential which means you don’t need a clutch just like paddle shifters

Sequential, like motorcycle, push forward for downshift, pull back for upshift. makes for faster shifts

Also, he needs a way faster rack.

Helicopter shadow on track at 3:36 is very unprofessional of the event. It can distract drivers & slow times. Easily avoided.

Why would they allow an angry Chiwawa in the car during a race!?!? I am appalled and everyone involved should be arrested!!! Animal control should be contacted to make sure that poor animal is all right. You can hear it barking in despair the whole race! Shame on you!
