This is a great knife. I've carried it for months. You don't "need" new scales. The stock scales feel fine in the hand. If you don't like the color (I do), change them by all means, but "need" is just inaccurate. I definitely agree with changing the pocket clip. I went with Lynch also and it works perfectly for me. No hot spot in my hand. ****Follow up July 2022. The Lynch clip let the knife slide into my pocket smoothly, but it said it out easily also. I want more secure retention. Went back to the original clip. I've gotten used to it, and it goes in well enough. Love this knife, is my #1 EDC.

This is a knife I have truly regretted selling I even liked the factory scales LOL just a perfect EDC for me. ✌🏻

Don't let the stock scales and the worst clip ever made scare you off. This is a great knife. I've got fat carbon scales stonewash the blade zirconium disc Lynch clip. It's prob my fav slim edc carry. Underrated ZT.

It needs the mods but I agree that it’s an excellent EDC. You just have to figure the mods into your budget for the knife. Unfortunately that means it’s starting to creep into Hinderer and CRK price territory.

I’m late to the party just got the 0640 blk version popped a lynch clip on it great knife I feel like it can do all the things

For sure! It’s much better with the Lynch clip though as I’m sure you noticed right away.

The 0640 is one of my favorite knives I carry mine a lot it has similar mods to your just not anodized

Yes, the ZT 0562 you mentioned near the end, is a manly knife. Just got my blade back from the spa (manly?) with acid-wash, stonewashed, finger choil, and a sculpted spine blade. ZT is still hanging on with a few models.

I had one and sold it. It is a really great knife but it’s just missing something. The mods can get it where you want it tho. A regrind is needed, new clip, and a new disk. The scales I could live with lol.

Always liked this knife with the cf scales, reminds me of the spyderco Gayle Bradley 2 which is a knife that I absolutely love. I've looked through a lot of your videos, noticed you don't have many on spartan blades. Another one of my top favorite knife companies.

Funnily enough, I have 4 Spartan Harseys. I love Spartan. I didn’t realize I hadn’t made one in a while on them. Thanks for reminding me!

Ever edc any of their fixed blades or folders other than the SHF? Carried my shf for over a year but got a pallas and I've been edcing that since. Also carry the phrike when I'm not at work.

I’ve always liked this knife but I agree the scales made it off putting for me. I love the blade shape and overall shape of the knife itself. Just a simple classic design and shape. I’ll keep an eye out for the Patreon sale. Might want to take it off your hands lol.
