Zozef Terzivasian 8-String Bouzouki

Anthony Catchatoorian plays a rare 1960’s Zozef Terzivasian 8-string bouzouki. This bouzouki used to belong to the great bouzouki soloist Yianni “Sporo” Stamatiou. It has recently been restored by master luthier Christo Tsolis.

    Absolutely beautiful, balanced and distinct sound. Some luthiers have come close but nobody has been able to reproduce the classic Zozef sound. The old man has taken his secrets to the grave.

    I never understood what people meant when they said that until I started playing a few. You are absolutely correct.
