That would depend on your router. If your router has a web interface you can log into it and find a list of all the IPs in your network. Process of elimination to find it. Pretty easy if you don’t have a bunch of IPs but also some IPs are named so you can rule those out right away. Other option is an IP sniffer software that watches the traffic on your network. You can watch for the new IP when the camera is connected. Again, this is made more difficult the more IP devices you have.

I have the 3k 5mp lite h.265. Why do images like cars and people move like robots ? Looks like 5 or 10 fps. What would be an upgraded unit that doesn't have the robotic look on display/record?

Great video! Do you know or have a similar video how to access Zosi IP/wireless cameras, like ZG2322M or ZG 2332M? I can ping the camera IP address (wired to PC LAN port) and have scanned the open ports, but the ports reject any connection. Using WireShark/SharkTap between the camera IP port and the NVR WLAN port does show all Zosi private LAN traffic, but it will take a while to figure it all out. Thanks.

I have not been able to carry out the process, when entering the browser it indicates that it is not possible to connect.

Same here, I'm absolutely losing my mind... no tutorial works. It's as if the camera denies any access to it... it only works if I connect it directly to the ZOSI Receiver, no problem at all... I even have no idea what the real IP adress is, is it 192.168.138.??? or is it 192.168.147.??? (As shown on the receiver). It's just really confusing.

@@mariosegura652 Sadly no solution at all... tried the exact same thing with Wansview cameras, it immediately worked on the first try. But the ZOSI ones? No chance.

I think most of the basic concepts of cctv I understand, but when it comes to this type of connections and interference Im completely lost , is there any more videos or info to learn this type ?

Great video, thank you very much! A question, I need to do the same thing and access a remote camera via browser (so, computer and camera are NOT on the same network). I just need a very simple camera, so I was considering one of the ones you linked (the ones under $25)...do you know if this procedure doesn't work on any of them? Thanks!

Hi Carlo. If you buy a smart camera such as the Wyze Cam amzn.to/2ZlE5b7 you don't need to touch your router. it uses a cloud service and you can have your camera working in less that 5 minutes just following the installation wizard and your mobile phone.

Is it possible to do it by directly connecting the camera via ethernet to the computer?

Just connect all the cameras to a network switch and do the same with the computer (or laptop).

To use an IP camera in the OBS just use the RTSP steaming... there's a video in the channel where I show how to use RTSP, it works with different software and platforms, including OBS. How do I connect the device on my phone while I'm out or aboard so I can keep an eye on my property? Would anyone have any idea? It's on Zosi camera system

I know this answer is a year after you asked it, but what you can do is download some sort of IP camera software like Blue Iris or something similar, connect all your IP cameras to the app, and then port forward the web interface/app interface from your router. It's much more of an advanced setup than just using the NVR. I'm a network admin and have my cameras connected to a PoE switch which is then linked to a private network adapter on one of my servers. It records the data to it's hard drives and then also gives me a web interface to view on from outside my home. My advice would be to stick with the NVR, the Zosi apps, and all that stuff before trying to do a setup like mine if you are not familiar with networking.

I cannot get the Certificates installed for activeX controls. Is there a work around? and yes i have changed internet security settings.

I don't get the IP camera login screen when trying to navigate to the IP camera via the browser. I can ping the camera IP from my PC. Port 80 does not seem to be responding on the camera. It is blocked by default? When trying to check for port 80 status on the camera IP it responds with port not listening. Please suggest if I am missing any steps? I have followed your video from opening my Zosi NVR package upto connecting it to the PC.

I plugged a network cable because it's not an Wi-Fi camera.

I can't just connect my ZOSI DVR (ZOSI 3K 5MP Lite H.265) directly to my laptop? This makes the unit unusable for me, why don't they tell us that when they sell this to us......I don't want to REGISTER ANYTHING, nor have the lag/latency, and or cloud interface. Just want simple, hook up to laptop, done.......

this is only for cans with direct connetion,,this not work on ZOSI DVR people..

Should be real nice if this works. But sadly it didn''t works... The only thing what works from this camera is ONVIF (restricted). Tha quality is good. But a webinterface should be really nice. I got only when in type the adres of the camera a webserver index file with: ./ , ../ , a.js and server.js. But does all nothing...

Learn basic IP first and then come back to watch the video or just pay an IT guy to help you out. Unfortunately I can’t teach you IT first before show you how to set up the IP camera. If it doesn’t work for you, please just check other channels: there are plenty out there.
