I really hope the grind becomes reasonable. I have 20 characters and play like 12 of them regularly. I wished for scribing to patch up some issues on off-meta builds and would hate if I had to grind over and over for each character.

Transparency and listening the community is a great way to their success. I am actually hopeful for the future of this game now. It has been some dark years :D

Thanks for the updated video. After watching your first one, I was a little disappointed as I run a number of alts. Glad ZOS was listening. (Someone at ZOS, must have thought, "oh shit, we forgot about alts. Better fix this". Glad action was taken. Well done ZOS.

The catch - This will convert back to subtle daily login items once the ten year anniversary ends. We'll have 7 more solid months than most likely back to scrolls, crafting items, and low amounts of gold.

Wow, really great of them to change it this much to better align with our feedback. I'm fine with the new proposed grind vs what was initially found. For an alt character, you really don't need 100% of the scripts because you got to experiment on your main. The fact that you can lazy purchase a specific one and the class scripts being automatically available is awesome. If you told me 5 years ago I could have bought Undo with gold I would have 10x over lol.

Honestly, I see people using one or maybe two of these, per build. I'm not going to slot a scribing ability because it's a scribing ability, I'm going to slot one if it's an actual upgrade to damage, sustain, group DPS, etc. I'm not going to swap them "in and out" and upgrade them, most likely at all. But at the end of the day, any source of unbound, guild store purchasable options is the answer we all need here. Buy the ones that come up on vendors, find the specific ones you need in guild stores, and ignore the daily grind completely if you want to. Having that OPTION makes it less of a pain point.

Oh, these changes greatly increase the likelihood that I will buy gold road. I was leaning hard towards essentially retiring from end game, moving on to the housing end game. Lol.

Great update! I have a question, do we need to own Necrom chapter to do the scribing quest line? i saw one of the quest refering to go to a Necrom location.

I think some locations you have to go to will require previous DLCs, yeah...

Based on how well the feedback was heard and applied here, I'm really curious what type of changes to scribing's combat balance they have lined up. I expect they will match the affix and signature timers better, hopefully 20s. They'll probably lower the oblivion damage to 6% and increase the cooldown to 5s to better balance pvp. I want but don't expect them to reduce the long cast times, add ranks to grimoires for damage scaling, or rework core functionality of any of them.

They need to keep adding to newer existing systems as well

Agreed. I was kinda hoping that this year, with the big anniversary, that updating existing systems was gonna be the main focus. I'm happy to get scribing, dont get me wrong, but companions, guilds, crafting, housing, base zone aesthetics, antiquities, tales of tribute, can all afford to get more love!

Damn @skinnycheeks ZoS dropped that reply faster than Kendrick dropped his response diss track to Drake! Honestly thanks for all you do, you're my #1 go-to for ESO content. Question for you: The dailies that drop scraps...scripts?...Scrip scraps? I dunno, but the ones that you get from PvP type dailies, are those drops strictly PvP?

If class script still have a very low drop rate then its still going to be a very long grind for most of, like upward of 6+ months I reckon, still something is better then nothing and its a good direction

Wish they would address the issues with necromancer like this they straight up ignore that class for whatever reason

While the class script was made 3 times better (7 classes) it is still an incredible grind, I am still not looking forward to it, especially since they doubled down that we need to grind. I will just leave a quote from their message here. "In short, we’re aiming for a system that... ...providing an engaging longer-term chase."

Presales may not be very good, or under what they expected. still getting hate over the style pages from the event as well i bet. making stuff too grind focused is like "busy work".

So for the CLASS SCRIPT SCRAPS, is that once per CLASS? Like if I have multiple of every class will I have to do the chase on a Necro, a DK, etc or just ONCE total? Is the Achievment a Character One, or an Account one?

you only have to gather the scraps once. then you buy it with gold for alts, is what it sounded like to me

Hope it's not a huge grind cuz it would be a pain cuz think everyone has more then 10 characters

So am I understanding correctly that the class script grind will now only be once per CLASS, not per character?

It should be once per account. Once per class wouldnt solve the problem. If I'm understanding, once your main character gets it's mastery that will unlock the achievement. As long as your account has that achievement, your alts can purchase their own class masteries without the hassle.

The initial version felt like I was being punished for spending cold hard cash on extra character slots tbh, and I'm perfectly happy to regrind ANTIQUITIES for keeneye 😂😂 done it six times. So for me to feel dismay at a grind felt demoralizing indeed.

still sounds overly complex...they don't consider how many of us have 10+ characters and to make us do the same tutorial that many times on top of going to all the guilds and whatnot will wear us out

so you get the non rng ones and it leaves you with 50ish rng ones with you need to grind for or get the weekly 6 at the vendors since grinding dailies isnt necceseraly saving you any time on completion considering you cant control witch ones show up at the vendor, going slowly just week to week buying them is kinda the only way worth doing and 6 a week for 50 of them makes it 8-9 weeks of buying them so for anyone with a life other then the game its gonna take 2ish months to complete the whole thing for however many characters zos: make a big addition to the combat system also zos: makes players grind for 2 months to fully unlock it gg sure, better than the situation from the previous video for sure, far from good still the grind with the dailies would be fine if you needed to do it on one character and then be able to buy it on others, but if you need to do that on every toon in hopes of making it faster that is still horrible imagine a newer player whos still in the process of making characters, needing to spend 2 months to unlock scribing on every subsequent alt...

Less Script scripting sounds better than what had been previously expected. Next up, rewards and grind rework for that dang card game right? Right? U know the one I ALWAYS lose to? 😂😂😂 P.s. Necros are already dead, give em some L O V E. Make em OP!

I think a script is 2000 gold. That's a lot for a new player. Yes, a vet player with 2000 CP can easily afford it. Yes, you can get gold via the market, if you have the rare items. But new players don't have any of that.

On the other hand, new players won't really need scribed skills at that point. This is not time-gated in the same way as learning traits.

Scary ... ESO may well become known as a AAA developer the actually listens to it's player base ... Will they be ostracized by the other developers??? Show them some love people.

I made an account on pc. Grind to cp 160 wothout a carry is awful. Then grind mount. Then grind mages guild. Then undaunted (which isnt bad anymore). Then psijic. Then scrying. Then leads. Then dig. Now this? PER TOON? Not to mention arena weapons.... the grind to get to pvp is obnoxious.

Then.... the last 3 weeks the servers have been terrible. Stop making power tied behind huge grindfests. I cant even play the build i want because its literally a 50 hour grind minimum. I have a job bro.

Who bit ZOS with "good stuff" desease?

The whole terminology means zilch to me at the moment, so trying to digest this information. It's like "Hey, you get 250 zicka if you squeak the dovani. But reduced change for 40 enhance multiply by brockenheimer ...." I understand absolutely nothing. And I'm trying to.

well that's why I said you probably should watch my video covering the system 1st so you'd understand.

I pray to God when ZOS build there new servers for there new MMO due out in the next 3-4 years they test those servers with ESO PvP. Our PvP servers are constantly lagging or freezing. Give us a few years of decent servers where they made those servers based upon the knowledge of ESO servers. Reward us ZOS.
