The backing track from the aux in will not be affected by the effects.

The manual says that, when connected via USB, it appears as an audio interface on Windows and Mac machines, but does the same apply to Linux? I would be interested if it does, even if the functionality is not officially supported.

No one from Zoom could be bothered to answer my question, so I bought a Zoom V3 and am now answering it for myself. The answer is, yes: the Zoom V3 is natively supported as an input and output audio interface in Linux, without requiring installation of any drivers. I have tested it in Elementary OS (which is based on Ubuntu), and have it modifying my voice in Skype, merely by selecting the Zoom interface (which appears automatically as an option) in the audio input settings. If anyone has any questions about this, please reply to this comment, and I'll get back to you.

question... how do i connect v3 into android as audio interface properly... my default phone recorder gets the signal fine.... but starmaker android app is not recognizing my audio effects, only gives clarity to my recorded voice. my phone is type c huawei nova 5t i used c to 3.5mm then audio splitter, headphone port of splitter plugged for aux in. then phone port of v3 plugged for mic in audio splitter. pls correct me if im doing wrong.

The V3 is not compatible with Android devices.

Youll just need an adapter that converts the 2 trs outputs into a single cable then Input that into your audio interface😊

You would be able to have one of the soft key selected effects enabled, while also having the Compression, Reverb and Delay active.

it was working with obs and then it was not ...what happened/

AUX-IN does not send a signal with the mic simultaneously to USB controller

@@TheDivinos yes. I have seen the official manual and signal diagram and the AUX-IN signal is by-passed. This is a limitation. Maybe ZoomSoundLab can do it something with it on Software level ?

it was meant to recieve, not send. what i did was phones socket into mic input of my phone.

apparently you lower the buffer size from control panel on ZOOM v3 control panel.. but It's at its lowest, still getting the latency. I hope someone can help me

Only one footswitch? On and off???? Too bad. seems like a nice unit but I'm gonna stick to my Perform-V with 3 footswitches to control 6 different presets and my VT-3 for hands on fader control and a footswich for on and off. With Midi switching and programmable presets (like different levels of a single effect or to switch between key's) this could have been so much better.

No XLR out is a deal-breaker
