This is just zooming in on an extremely hd photo, but it is still amazing. I can't wait till we can get 360 views of space with virtual reality. That will be enough to inspire everyone. There are so many places that we can go, and humans are nomadic. I wonder where we will go next.

That's not the center of the milky way. That is just the side view of one of the spirals that lies between us and the center of the galaxy. The galactic core lies behind what you see in this photo. Can't be seen in visible wavelenghts, only x-ray or radio.

Now, if all the distances between the stars in that glut of stars is about the same distance from our sun to the nearest star.....well, that's about 4.22 Light years between each of them. Say...that's an average. I don't know...all I can do is try to empty my head of all thought. Oh. Yeah, trying is not allowed either. Duality.

So many stars, so many places to know, and we can barely visit the nearby planet in our own Solar System. What a waste of space and matter.
