I just bought the Zoom H4n for my movies and i was just planning on recording audio with the two built in microphones. Are there any settings that I need to tweak with to get the best results? Or are all the settings used for other effects with instruments?

DUDE I`M GOING CRAZY ONLINE RIGHT NOW I HAVE A CRAZY QUESTION I HAVE BEEN LOOKING ONLINE EVERYWHERE FOR AN AUDIO RECORDER THAT ONE PRESSES RECORD AND THE AUDIO RECORDER REPEATS ONES VOICES AS YOUR RECORDING LIKE PROCESSES THE SOUND WITH A DELAY FUNCTION MY QUESTION IS THIS DUDE DO YOU KNOW OF ANY AUDIO RECORDER OR AUDIO DEVICE THAT CAN CAPTURE AUDIO THEN REPEAT RIGHT AWAY AUTOMATIC TALK REPEAT AUDIO CORDERS DO THEY EXIST THATS MY QUESTION ?

@@ParanormalBusters either that or delay/echo pedals with the mix knob adjusted to cut out the original sound if thats what youre looking for, check out some youtube videos on the subject, might help. Yw

This feature is awful and this video is deceiving. Notice how he doesn't demonstrate any more than 1 loop? That's because it doesn't loop together smoothly AT ALL. There is like a half second pause before it starts looping again. Watch it again closely- there's a little blip of silence before it loops. This makes this feature pretty much completely useless. Why would you loop something if it's not a clean loop? You can't practice over it because the blip of silence throws off your tempo. What the hell is the point of this at all? This is just one of the many problems with this device.

You also can't even use this feature in multitrack mode either. Only in stereo mode.

This comment - the biggest BullShit I've ever seen on KZread. This "like half a second pause" - exactly what I need! And I need this great feature to listen dedicated musical fragments when I make exact music scores (sheet) by own hearing. And if this feature would continue looping without any pause - for me it would be *worse*, like a mess! If you want perform smooth loops, you should look on other type of hardware. This feature in this device - to WORK with audio material, but not to PERFORM your loops! Actually I was absolutely excited, when I found out, that besides I can record excellent quality sound from my digital stage pianos, I also can have such a fantastic features like overdub (multitrack recording) and even this AB Repeat Loop! Great and helpful video of great device. That's why this fantastic device is so popular around the world. Going to buy it soon.

***** So..you haven't even used this device yet you're sure you would WANT your loops thrown off by a blip of silence in between each one? Whatever, maybe it's possible there is some weird reason why you might not want it to loop properly, but it's still DECEPTIVE to leave out the fact that the loops are not seamless and then promote a "looper" feature on the device. This is not a looper. And yes this is a terrible feature to WORK with audio material, no one is talking about performing loops. In fact I suspect you're a paid shill.
