Thank you so much for all of these tutorials. Saved me hours of scouring through the manual. I was getting very frustrated with MTR and you cleared it of very effectively.
loooove the track ooooooone. so curous how it's gonna add up. This is so cute. Such an original idea😊😊😊
Great series of videos, thank you. I've been using the H4N for a while now for recreational field recording and your videos have helped immensely.
Thank you!! The manual was starting to frustrate me (like all manuals do) and this cut right to what I needed to see!! Looking forward to the rest of your instructional videos!
Thank you! you really do give the best tutorials for zoom!
Thanks, you provided me with a great overview and the video was easy to follow...I record myself and other musicians offsite quite a bit and don't always want to lug my mbp and interface and just purchased this recorder so you have me up and running!
brilliant, sir.
Great tutorial thank you
Light bulb moment. Thank you!

merci beaucoup
this is great but can you show us how to save the 4 track recording you just made so we can make a second one ? It just stays there and it must be saved somehow before moving on ? thanks !
track one~
Hi, these videos are very helpful but I was wondering if you have used the Zoom H4n with Wirecast for telestream?
You need to exit stamina mode to avail of the multi track option.
Thanks for the tutorial! I I want to record a handpan on track one and a native flute with echo effect on track 2, when I choose echo for track 2, does it apply the echo effect on both flute and handpan while overdubbing or only on the flute (that's what I want)?
Thanks. Great tutorial. I have 2 questions. 1- Can I add live effects when I am recording using H4n? 2- I have a Casio WK 6500. How can I record when I play directly using my H4n? I appreciate your help in advance.
@nickynunn You would have to arrange them in software like Cubase. I think that's the one that comes with it, right? There are also plenty of free sound sequencing programs out there like Audacity.
I was totally baffled by the manual, and continue to be, as I followed you on the video, but have a different experience. I get no playback from the previous track when I try to record the next. Also, how do you play back the final product?

The manual is VERY poorly written. It’s a nightmare. I’m convinced the manual is for another model with the wrong recorder name on the cover!! 😂
Hello, I wanted to ask a question about this MTR and selection of individual tracks. I can select at max two tracks, if I want to select the third one, it automatically deselect the track 1 and 2 which I previously selected? Do I need to make any settings in the menu, that I can select all 4 tracks to record at the same time 3 different mics (1xstereo and 2xmono). Thank you for your help! Matej

This I like to know also. But not one of all the tutorials i have seen are explaining this. Also the manual is like Chinese to me
Hello! It's possible to hear into headphones previous Tracks while recording The next one? It's Really important to sync a voice along a guitar . Many thanks!

yes indeed, when you record track 2 for instance, you can hear track 1. Make shure the red "1" button is not ON or you'll be overwriting track 1. If button one is off on the other hand, youll be listening to track 1 while you are recording track 2.
In which format are recorded the multitrak files ? You can not choose like in the other modes
when i put my sd card into the computer i cant listen to the tracks together, only individually, how do i listen to my completed song?
if you have 3 tracks armed....are inputs 1 and two still able to be in x/y or a/b and then have a boom mic?
How many track? Only four? Or limitless? How to do more tracks?
Track 1 doesn't play back when recording track 2 etc - how do I fix this????

I think you need to connect it with a loud speaker. when I plug my headphones in it's working so try that or an external loudspeaker
Can I do the same thing with Zoom H5?
Hey you re the guy of sp808....
But... does it djent?
Whenever I try to overdub the screen reads NOW RECORDING! ????? My boss micro br had better features. Oh, well.
