Ok, I'm going to admit it. I'm a Boss/Roland kinda guy. I love my Katana. But I gotta have this G5n. I owned the old G8 with the 12AX7 Tube and it wasn't bad. That was literally like 15 years ago. I'm going to snag one of these.

I do you get a hell of a lot for your money! One thing that does bug me though is my Marshall amp has a beautiful tone of its own & I tried using just the wah on the g5n but it removed the tone of my amp. Great piece of kit though & sounds great when recording onto software

Great tone brother..................I had a G5 and the earlier Zoom models before that.........Since then I've had about 6 different modelling pedals including 3 varios Line 6's Boss Gp-10 , Digitech's and the Amplifire......... I just recently went back and listened to recordings I did with the G5 which I sold of course and come to find out..........that was the best tone for me..................So now I'm debating on getting another G5 or G5N ..........I just sold the Amplifire which was great except for a few things that bothered me..........The Amp models sounded killer in the Amplifire after you tweaked them out.............Th G5 I had I think suited my style better as you could dial in extra harmonics that would make it sing........The tube feature was absolutely worthless in my opinion.......anyway.......your demo sounds better than all the others......thanks for sharing

so what are you playing now? also, what did you not like about the amplifire?

have you used the older g5 and if so do you think the g3n sounds any better?

Sweet Burney! I'm getting ready to order one of these to run in my FX loop. Can you bypass the amp modeling and just use the effects? I get my gain from my EVH but I like the effects part.

I own one of these. Great bit of kit. Through headphones the sound quality is poor from the device itself. But through the headphones using the G5n software it sounds amazing. Ideal for recording. My only gripes are you cant use the foot switches in usb mode. Also i wish you could change patches while using the looper and rhythm. Much prefer those to have dedicated buttons.

I agree with looper and rhythm issue; I imagine the next upgraded model or upgraded lower models may have this option. I don't use the looper or rhythm during performances but still a much needed fix for working with G5n and effects in preparing for a performance.

Can zoom please give us a valve based pedal such as a Chandler Tube driver or BK butler Tube driver? This is a big miss in zoom g5n

How about latency when switch the preset (preset mode)

This demo paints this pedal in a much better light than most of the other demos... tone quality is fantastic.... so is there alot of post production wizardry going on here? Or Is this just plugged directly into a go pro... or a zoom Q4... it doesn't sound like it is live mic'd... if all I listened too was this demo I would buy this immediately.... but listening to some of the other vids where this pedal sounds like a potato gives me pause... great playing btw and thank you for posting.... now I have to go find one in a music store somewhere and check it out for myself... thanks again and peace✌

ZOOM has more options to create a difrent sound .

buy Zoom G3X or ZoomG5n? I heard that ZoomG5n doesnt have distortion :/ I'm interested in DeathMetal / DeathCore

ChoptonesOfficial Does the G5n also have the built in drum patterns like the G3xn? I'd imagine it would, but that feature doesn't seem to be as prominent in the product description for the G5n so I can't be sure, not that it's much of a deal breaker if it doesn't.

Hello! I Think buy a zoom g5 for the xlr output and more effects that the zoom g5n. But which of the two models is better in emulations quality? Sorry for my english.

What is the use of the knob... "MASTER LEVEL" is this use for adjust master volume .........??? If this is so....... Then there is no problem in buying this bcozzz..... Like g3xn some people are saying that ......when their vol. Is Around 60% OD........and suddenly they change the patch to the DISTORTION there volume goes 100%.......which make much noise and less clear sound.......???? And i m hesitate to buy this product..... Plzzz help me .........

Sounds ok. But seem like alot of work to come to grips with. Decent demo though.

That's how demo should been done. All music and info in the description. I don't want to listen to someone keep talking for half an hour then play like a few seconds. How many half an hour we got in our life?
