This was great. Although you consider yourself a beginner your skills of growing reflect experience. The truth... ive been gardening over 20 years on my own but really its been a lifetime since my family were gardeners and farmers. I still feel like a beginner. I like how you have sections of different things but know taking all that you have and mixing it up brings in more pollinators, gives more diversity to your ecosystem and will give you that charm and texture cottage garden have. So let the tomatoes stay and better utilize your spaces by allowing more than just one thing to grow there. If thats your style. My only advice is the super invasives like holly hock and morning glory maybe become a nuisance later. Yours are just getting their footing and will go absolutely insane. Then Mulch mulch mulch. Either wood chips from a tree service (you just call them and tell them you want chips dropped off and they generally are free) , straw, grass clippings or something else that is a good organic option to improve your soil. You will benefit greatly from less watering and soil that stays moist longer. Even for the containers too. When you seed stuff just move it to the side till it is tall enough. Otherwise lady you are soaring! Bravo on including natives too, thats crazy important. Gardens are always a work in progress. Even the "masters" are never really masters of their craft just jacks of the trade.

Omg thank you SO MUCH for this heart felt comment Tristin!! I hear you about the mulch. I've been hesitant to do something like chip drop because they deliver SO MUCH and I just don't need that much. And I hear you on the hollyhocks I will definitely look into that. Maybe I can keep it contained somehow? Idk. The morning glory will be contained in a hanging planter. I have HUGE plans to basically get rid of most of the lawn and have many many more pollinators, so I'm very excited for that. Thanks for watching!

@@astoldbybrittany4342 well for chip drop you may wait forever but that is another way. However, with a huge load cardboard and woodchips is the best way to get rid of grass. You want a deep bedding like 8 inches or more. It would provide you with the option to forfeit the grass if you really are ready for that. Holyhocks I'm sure can be managed just having the right expectations is important. You probably can pull them when they are tiny. Or dead head the flowers before they turn to seeds. They are gorgeous and I dont blame you for having them. As for mulch maybe you can call the local dump or processing facility that does compost and see if they have some you can get in smaller amounts? Things to think about.
