Zombie Tools : How to get a Copper Etch on a Knife

Showing off our Copper Etching Technique. All you need is a knife, sword, axe or blade of some kind, or just a piece of steel (we use 5160 Spring Steel),
some appropriate acid (we use ferric chloride - this come from juicing a ferret), Copper Dust, Aluminum Dust, Water, Neutral Water with baking soda, Cruelty, Greed, Malice, and a will to dominate all life in Middle Earth..... and Whaaaa Blam! A Copper Etched Blade!

    I did this tonight. Mine actually turned out very similar. I kinda went stupid with materials. I wish I had seen your tutorial beforehand lol. I saw it in a bladesmith group and just winged it. The reaction looked cool though🤣. We would've been hanged 100 years ago. I'm sure you already know that Camellia oil is magic on this 🍻

    Would it work with other dusts as well, such as brass? Would it work with dusts that aren't metal? I'm curious about why this works.

    We've cut hundreds of cans, fruit, wood and other various materials will all of our shop copies. The Etch hold up quite well. If you look at our Pirate Pool video you can see the etch on several swords that have been heavily used. All of our shop copies have the aluminum etch though...which holds up all the same. Cheers!

    It says what type of steel they use on their website. Should be 5160 Spring Steel.

    Nice!!! Here's a description of 5160 spring steel: Alloy Steel 5160, also sold as AISI 5160, is a high carbon and chromium spring steel. It offers users outstanding toughness, a high level of ductility, and excellent fatigue resistance. Alloy Steel 5160 is in use in the automotive field in a number of different heavy spring applications, especially for leaf springs.

    I put a brown wrap on the hilt with a copper blade finish. It came out beautifully. I only wish the copper areas were more pronounced.
