In this quick and easy guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play all the chords and lead guitar parts to the smash hit "Zombie" by The Cranberries.
The entire song revolves around a very simple 4 chord progression. This makes "Zombie" an excellent choice for the beginning guitarist or just about any guitarist interested in learning a great song.
However, I will be going past those four chords and also showing you how to play all the guitar fills and the double-stop filled guitar solo that occurs towards the end of the song.
All of these lead guitar parts are pretty easy to play as well. They are meant to be that way. They simply compliment the underlying chord progression with some nice melodies.
All-in-all this Zombie guitar lesson will get you playing this great song quickly and easily. Enjoy!

    Soonyay pretty okay huh? 😂 That cracked me up for some reason. All kidding aside though, keep it up. If it’s starting to sound halfway decent then you’re almost done with the frustrating part where most quit. Anyone can learn to be a solid guitarist if they just push through the first stages of frustration and super sore fingertips. Once you get it going though, unlike other hobbies, it’ll be a rewarding one that you can do for as long as you live. Focus on learning simple songs you LIKE and WANT to learn. That will keep it fun, because there’s nothing more lame that learning, “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star,” when all you wanna do is rock out. You got this 💪

    Note this song has a slighty sharp tuning if you want to play with the track. Its not quite a half step up.

    Thanks for taking the time to make this video. This is the first song I’m learning on guitar, found your tutorial the easiest to understand. Towards the very end of the video, you lost me with the 10-12 fret stuff - just needed that bit slowing down and explaining a bit more (I say this perfectly aware and appreciative that I’ve just had a free tutorial off yourself and the student here maybe slow!)

    In C chord there is a open B note which is not in C major chord, do you sing in another tunning, dont you strum all the chords or did you play there a C7 major? Thanks.

    The acoustic version is super simple, but a horse with no name is even easier. Also the D add 6 add 9 chord is a cheap and easy way to resolve into e minor. My jam buddies have all decided to call it the daddy chord.
