Kicking myself hard for not backing this. That mini looks great. CMON certainly has come along way with their minis.

My Zombicide 2ed arrived this week. Always nice and relaxing to watch your videos which makes the process of painting seem much less daunting then other videos i've seen. Certainly gets me excited to start painting mine.

@@WatchItPaintIt They look great, some need more cleaning up than others but i'm overall pretty happy with the quality. The Army Painter starter set doesn't appear to be available for pre-order in Australia though, so i'll have to make do with the Citidel paints I bought for AUGS TMNT game.

Yeah the unique zombies pulled me in with this KS. I even bought two sets of them! Ooh give me a nudge when you have some content up!

Haven't received mine yet, but the daily unlock Lion Dancer is the one I'm most looking forward to painting.

Dont you prime the minis before for a better quality/color durability ?

Yes! I primed this one and mention it at the start. It just happens to be almost the same colour as the plastic on this miniature!! :-)

Do you recommand to varnish it with an anti-shine varnish, or would it spoil the details ?

wow did cmon send you that set? becaies the mini look more crisp with ditail then mine dus plus all the weapons arnd bent up lol

This is from Army Painter. I’m sure they’ll have got the minis from cmon though! I’ve not looked at the one that arrived in my game actually! I should go check what it’s like

Is it normal for the barbarian flesh primer to feel sticky? Don't have this with the other primers ...

That is NOT normal. Is there a residue on the miniature? The only time I've ever seen that happen was when I put a gloss varnish from GW over a matte varnish from Army Painter - but never with paint.

@@WatchItPaintIt No, im painting the miniatures from zombicide 2nd edition. And the times I used the barbarian flesh primer, the models have a sticky feeling to them. The first layer of paint doesnt take that well either. Is it maybe a bad bottle of primer? It doesnt do that when I use nercrotic flesh for example. It's really strange.

That is weird. I assume you did the 60 seconds of shaking - but maybe there was something on the mini that caused a reaction? I usually wash minis with soapy water and a toothbrush before I paint. After a search online it seems no one really knows why this can happen. Maybe try a hairdryer on the primed miniature to try to cure it.

oof, it seems army painter really needs a lot of coats...gonna stick with vallejo I guess
