Another great vid! To get the camera to focus on smaller minis you should hold the mini in the palm of your hand. It gives the camera a bigger target to focus on

I know, the problem is based on where the camera is that ends up being a very awkward angle.

Ya, that was a mess. We started building our kallax but only had one of two packages....so it got cancelled.

Not sure when Canadians will get their zombicides but I'm excited for this. Will be my first Zombicide game I've owned. All I ever saw of this game is from when I bought a copy and painted all the minis to give as a Christmas gift.

Ancient god (Cthulhu) in an expansion for a game about ancient gods and their giant scorpions and teleporters? - those designers must be on drugs - what were they thinking. There are RULES!!! Same ancient god in a zombie game? Totally fine - fits perfectly. I'm totally fine with Cthulhu as an expansion to either game. But your logic doesn't compute. ;-) I totally understand people who think that there was too much Cthulhu around in recent (post-copyright) years. But the same is true for zombies - and zombies are ahead by at least a factor of 10. Matagot looked for an idea for a Kemet expansion, stumbled on Cthulhu and got inspired and offered an expansion for anybody interested. "Meh, not for me" or "oh, that is cool" are both very appropriate reactions. But option number 3 "Matagot doesn't know Kemet - this is crazy, now Kemet is broken" is a weird reaction IMHO.

I'd answer here, but I already did a full video on it awhile ago :) And it's not that they don't know it or that it's broken, it's that their vision for an updated game is a drift from what I want...which is fine. But that might make it not for me.

@@BoardGameCo The part that I find very confusing is that about Kemet itself. Ignore the Chtulhu (now aka Book the dead) expansion and look at Kemet itself - and there is no sign of Bugs Bunny or throwing marbles in the air to determine combat results by the reflection the marbles made on the wall. Kemet:B&S is pretty much original Kemet with the good and popular parts of Ta-Seti included, a bit of tweaking and cleanup on DI cards and rules and a slightly better production. That won't help anybody who already didn't like Kemet before, but for anybody who liked Kemet I don't understand what has changed.

I love the BHG shelves, we use those a lot in our house but not for board games. We have Wire Shelves from Walmart for BGs since they hold so much more weight.

About your thing with the gun and six bullets... Have you seen The Mist (2007) ? The moovie is not really good but i will never forget the end...

In the red reboot box how do you know when to put in one of the stretch goal zombies with extra rules compared to just spawning walkers or runners? Weird place to ask a question but figured there would be some zombicide fans here

Zombicide was my first boardgame (Outside monopoly) And 2nd edition is my first kickstarter, Still waiting for it to arrive but man. do I love it

I don't often click "like" on videos, but when you got to 29:35 and said "If you don't like Danny Trejo, you can..." At that point, I immediately had to click "like"! The man is a hero, and I'm glad to see him recognised like this in Zombicide.

I was unpleasantly surprised not to have a Spawn card for some zombies ... The daylies in particular !!!! How do they spawn then?

Funny enough, I listen to all of my KZread videos at 2x speed (too much content that I'm interested in, wouldn't keep up otherwise). I do occasionally have to rewind a few seconds when I miss something but I got used to 2x in general years ago.

Modern zombie setting feels too dry. Like you said, BP and Invader try a twist on the standard zombie theme. Anyway, I’d be curious to read the rule changes for 2nd edition.

A Zombicide Role playing games sounds bad to me, since you can literally take dnd and theme it after a zombie apocalypse or get any one of many themed Zombie Roleplaying games.

Hey Alex. Good video. I unboxed mine yesterday, and yet I still watched this, so I guess you're doing something right! Two things: 1) I agree with you in terms of swearing in videos. I don't have a problem with people doing it, I'm cool with letting people be them... Personally, for me, it just turns me off almost immediately. Just, not a fan. 2) Before you take those 6 bullets and take action with them, READ World War Z (if you haven't). You may be pleasantly surprised. (I say read the book, NOT watch the movie...) Not as typically bleak as all other source material on zombie apocalypses. Anyways, good video. Thanks for the entertaining content!

I own everything for black plague and green horde. Really wanted to get this, as modern zombicide would be my prefered theme, but the abomination choices throughout the campaign made me withdraw my pledge. No one abomination pushed me away, but all of them together felt so random and disjointed. ALL being very Very pop culture-esk. So much pop culture. Sad. So I went all in for massive darkness 2 and pick up and all for massive darkness 1. Planning to make some custom cards to add more crossover.

I just bought the travel version because I wanted to try the game without paying 100 bucks immediately. I have a question about Phil's brothers in arms. Theres no where that indicates what the fuck his skill it. I understand it only is active if you share a zone with a survivor and can be shared with all other survivors but it doesnt tell you what that skill is so in my opinion he literally has no skill and is only useful for his 2 damage. I googled and tried to find somewhere that says what it is but theres nothing

haven't gotten a new game in a second and someone was getting rid of their copy.

@@BoardGameCo when you first flipped it open you're supposed to use the little ledge guy on the back of the knife to flip it open not the numbs on the side of the blade. The ledge helps to flip it open quicker the numbs are like a backup system.

The plus side about people being outraged over the mention of Trump, or obama for that matter, is that you know exactly who not to trust, believe or associate with. This game looks as expected for CMON, so I'm a fan. I prefer Black Plague, but it's always nice seeing more Zombicide.

Drinks on the game board should be banned

Why did they give Clinton the golf clubs and not Trump? Trump golfed 298 days of his presidency at a cost of $145 Million to tax payers. He definitely should've been the one with the golf clubs.
