Dark Knight rises was released in 2012 that would make her 22 or 23 at time of filming Hathaway was 28 or 29 big difference. Not a race issue but more an age issue also seeing a 23 year old kissing a 38 year old would have been a bit weird . But to be clear if she was not cast because of her race it’s still not racist the casting director wanted a white character and that is fine.

Someone pointed out that CA is one of the most diverse places on earth: latinos, Koreans, blacks, Chinese, whites, the list goes on. They are all there. In fact, she would not stand out but blend in. Last time I was in CA, the roads were beat to hell, and the lady who pulled up next to me was playing some weird Middle Eastern music. CA is so diverse, everyone is so different with nothing in common. It's Babylon, not racism

I live on the central coast just south of Monterey and I find it hilarious that she claims Monterey is racist when the central coast is one of the most liberal places in California. There are Republican farmers that support trump with big signs on their ranches, but even they aren't the racist caricature that she is trying to portray.

I was wondering why they made Catwoman a racist SJW in the movie, but then I realized that was just Zoe Kravitz inserting herself into the movie.
