Day 4: Port at Tortola, British Virgin Islands & Pirate Night
Hi friends! Welcome to Day 4 of our Disney Cruise aboard the Disney Fantasy! Wohoo! This day was SUCH A FUN DAY! When we woke up, we were ported at Torotola, B.V.I. and it was GORGEOUS. Although we were facing another cruise ship and could only see a snippet of the island from our verandah, it was very exciting to finally see land again! We ate a quick breakfast at Cabanas and headed down to D Lounge to meet for our port excursion. We booked a "Canopy Tour Zipline and Scenic Drive" through Disney and I would highly highly recommend this excursion! It was raining on our scenic drive up and over the island, but we still got some amazing views! The water was so blue and the islands in the distance looked unreal. We finally arrived at the ziplining excursion and was fitted with the proper equipment. Then, we got to the main event, the ziplining! It was so much fun and not scary at all. The views were amazing and I got some pretty great shots of the island, the cruise ships, Dad, Liz, and myself!
After we arrived back at the pier, we met Mom in the stateroom and had some lunch at Flo's Cafe. Then, all four of us explored the pier and did a little shopping. Next, we swam and relaxed on the top decks while we waited to pull away from port. The ship actually left about an hour later than planned. We watched at the very front of the ship as we backed up and around to head toward our next port, St. Thomas! We applauded the Harbor Pilots, who pilot cruise ships in and out of port, from our verandah and got ready for Pirate Night! For dinner, we ate at Royal Court and ordered almost every dessert on the menu. Delish! We also saw some very pirate-y characters in the Atrium. Finally, we ended the night with a bang by watching the Pirates in the Caribbean show and Buccaneer Blast Fireworks. A quick family walk around Deck 4 later and it was time for bed. Next stop, St. Thomas!

We met at D Lounge on the ship at 11:15am! We got there around 15 minutes early to be safe, but they began checking people in right at 11:15!
I'm from Sydney Australia and I wish Disney would be down under!

Dancing Wolfe A Disney Park in Australia would be so cool!!! Disney in Sydney already has a nice ring to it!
I'm going in April and my kids really want to do this excursion, and I came across your video while doing research. Can I ask...how is the climb up to the platforms? Is it stairs or do you have to go up a vertical ladder? 🪜

Hi! That’s so exciting! So the very first climb up to the first platform was really easy stairs. Then for most of the others it was all uphill climbing on land to get from platform to platform. It rained while we were zip lining so it was pretty slippery. The zip line guides were good about telling us to be careful while walking. I did slip a few times but never fell down! 👍🏻 And then there was one straight vertical ladder to get from one platform to another. It was completely vertical and kind of long. But nothing too hard to handle. We had a lot of kids in our group who went up the ladder completely fine. Some were scared to zip line but went up the ladder fine! Hope that helps!

It was all zip lining! No ropes course!

Did you have to stop yourself on the zip line or did they stop you? It looks like they do. That's my favorite, haha. I don't want to be in charge of me not crashing! LOL. Were there a lot of bugs?

Pine & Meadow yes, they stopped us! With a little wooden box on the zip line, it was perfect and slowed us down just in time. It was VERY nice not to worry about crashing! 😂 honestly I don’t remember any bugs! Idk how they managed that, but no bug bites were gotten that day!

Yes bugs would have absolutely ruined the experience. Thankfully the thought never crossed my mind!
