For an athlete of his stature and age he’s learning when to dunk it and when not to. He knows when to push the pace and when to slow it down. Zion is definitely going to be exciting in the NBA.

The only thing missing in Zion's repertoire is the 3 point accuracy. Even though he is very effective in the paint area in a long NBA season if he continues to have physical contact in the paint game he will have a short career because of all the all the wear and tear on his body so hopefully he develops a high percentage 3 point shot maker just like Steph Curry and other 3 point specialists.

I disagree...what he needs is a consistent jumper. That will allow him to move around the court and be able to shoot from anywhere. If his midrange picks up...oh my💪🏿

Darius Williams Why wouldn’t he need a jump shot ? The game is different now and him being respectable threat from 3 is something that’s needed from him when he goes to the NBA. On top of that players are playing longer due to them having a jump shot. Look at Blake Griffin he came in as an athletic beast but overtime it took a toll on his body so he learned to shoot and he’s a respectable threat from anywhere on the court now.

There’s no doubt Zion is dominating NCAA. He’s a freak athlete without question. But however, I do wonder how effective will he be in the NBA. I mean look at the way the league is and how the game is played today. Post scorers are losing minutes these days. The league is tailored around bigs who can shoot now. Wut position would he play in NBA? Is he big enough to guard in the paint? Guys like Blake had to learn to shoot. Even vets who made their careers out of the post had to adjust to the league of today. Example, Brook Lopez. I’m not tryna sound like some know it all, these are legit questions I have. Don’t go jumping down my throat, I’m no pro analyst. Just a huge fan of the sport. I was one of the ppl who didn’t think Doncic’s game would do the numbers he is in the NBA so I know I’m no expert. As a Knicks fan (🖕) with a top pick is why I ask (not hate). Someone enlighten me..

These are legitimate questions and concerns--still, despite your disclaimer, somebody will still jump down your throat cause it's youtube. First on his position--the NBA is moving to a position less game and he fits right in with that--offensively, he's a wing. Yes, post play is dying off in the NBA--he's not a post player--he's a player that drives to the paint often and effectively. The fact that there is a lack of true post players in the leads to fewer true bigs protecting the paint. This is an advantage in his favor. As far as him being big enough to guard the paint--yes and no. So many players and matchups in the NBA makes this a difficult question. Can he guard Giannis in the paint? No, but neither can anybody else but he should be very good defending the PF spot if that's what he's asked to do. The other question is, who guards him? Those same bigs aren't quick enough on the perimeter and the small forwards don't have enough strength for him in the post... they do have more length but much of that is mitigated by his explosive athleticism combined with un-rivaled strength. Back to the paint--he will be an elite rebounder. Also, his ball handling and vision are far underrated--what he does lack is a jumper. He needs to develop one that is competent and consistent but he doesn't need to be a three point specialist. It's really about all he lacks to be a very complete player. What he doesn't need is motivation and that alpha mentality--he has that and some to spare for Wiggins--if that guy competed like Zion, he'd have top ten potential. One thing I don't hear many comment on as an advantage for him are the rules in the modern NBA--you mentioned the lack of bigs and putting a premium on shooting, however, it might be the rules that all favor the offensive player that help him the most. He drove at will against a UVA team that packs it into the paint. Give him a half court with more spacing and less traffic in the paint and he should thrive.

Jesus every time he goes to the basket the refs blow the whistle. I thought I would like watching duke basketball this year but it sucks! I can just about guarantee Duke does not make it to the National Championship this year. Some sleeper will come along and knock them out.
