Watching now, for the first time. The part of the hike where you slipped as you were going to write RV VLOG into the snow....scared me! Beautiful trip, but those hiking trails were too much for me.

Robert, I declare you officially crazy! You wife and mom will never let you go anywhere alone again. : ) Seriously, congrats for making the climb. So glad you were able to do it and share it with us. We loved visiting Zion NP, but sadly, due to health problems and old age, were unable to make any climbs. Still, the drive and easy walks were amazing! Love the video!

Its not that dangerous however I would not do it in the winter.

@@TravelingRobert You are right about the "peer pressure" being a factor in finishing the hike. When I reached the chains,I was ready to turn back. I was 64 at the time and a woman in her 70's was coming down from the summit changed my mind about quitting.

Wow....I'm impressed. You pushed and conquered. That's what you call living life to the max.

Very impressive hike for someone" like you" Meaning a Florida Cuban with NO experience with winter and ice conditions. I hope you know when driving into the shadows/shade in the winter mountains that you will encounter ice on the roadway. Be safe and I'm glad you made the treck to the top and back down and home safely..

I can’t believe you made it all the way to the summit in the snow and ice! Those crampons must have worked well and made you feel secure. Scary enough when it’s dry out, lol. You rock! My first time going through the chains, a little girl was coming back. I thought she would say it’s scary head...instead, she said...”Up ahead, there’s shade!”

In summer, the shuttle buses work well. You just need to get off at each stop to see the views, explore around, take the trails, etc. Then catch the next bus.

Fantastic view. At 36:25, I was waiting for you to do a BASE jump with a parachute, but I guess that's the next video.

Well my blood pressure just went through the roof watching this. When you said you weren’t going to finish the hike I believed you. I just can’t believe you continued . I think a person had to be equally stupid and brave to do this hike. There’s absolutely no way I could do it and I’ve been to Zions several times. I’m just glad you made it back.

This grandma just watched this fabulous video. Discovered your videos a day ago and cannot stop watching them. This one was amazing. I went to Zion three years ago with seniors. One of the most beautiful national parks in the west.

I have done that hike in in the 80s . Back in my high school days … i never saw that as scary as I see it now!!

Just finished watching the vlog. Very good. I always wanted to climb Angel's. Fortunately, you didn't read Death in Zion prior to the climb. There have been a lot of deaths in that park - Angel's as well as elsewhere in the park.

I camped a night in Zion June of this year 2021.We were pulling a mini camper.We had to get the special permit when we're leaving for Bryce.It was a magical place other than the million people that were there lol Great video as usual Robert.You were in the top five of my first subscribed travel vloggers and I still think you have to be one of the best in the business.If you ever come near Aiken,S.C I would love to buy ya'll

Watching this 3 yrs after you accomplished this hike and I was on the edge of my seat the entire video!! So glad you made it back safely. Zion NP is still on my bucket list, but I don't think I'll be able to make this hike in ANY season! 😧

Dear Robert, I am in the process of watching this video and all I can say is: Oh my God, Robert. I have to admire your daring and your great spirit of adventure. I'm sitting on the edge of my seat. You just said: "We're allmost there". I'll say it again, Oh, my God!!!!!! You reached the top! I don't know how you are going to get down. You made it! Wow.

I think you should go back up and film the hike down😂 I don't think I would have done that without a parachute, very brave. Don't forget to look up, or back, but especially look where you are going.

You are a crazy man. I see why you are a successful blogger. Loved sharing that without having to do it.

@Mário Botelho it's so safe, if you use any good sense and wear good shoes. There are chains to hold onto in the parts that are the least bit dangerous

@@karinlarsen4251 It's only "safe" if there is nobody else around. Way too many people hike it at the same time and people get jostled. People coming down the same way people come up on just a few feet of ridge. 17 people have died on this hike.

Robert! So proud of you to conquer your fears! Looked pretty perilous, beautiful and majestic but dangerous, at the end there. Gaaa, and you still have to make it all the way down. You definitely deserve a FEW IPAs. So inspiring...but you should be careful and maybe have a hiking buddy with you for extreme hikes like this. Glad you had a really great visit at Zion. Even though the scenic drive isn’t accessible by car during prime season, renting a bike and riding all the way up the scenic Drive is a blast and when you’re coming back down as long as the wind hasn’t changed fly back down those hills you just came up with amazing views all around and you only have a shuttle that comes by every six minutes or so. Best bike ride ever!

Robert - I travel for work regularly and often have some time on my hands. I always hike and hit national parks, usually just for a few hours. I am going to Utah. I have to choose between 3 never been - Arches, Zion, Canyonlands or back to a favorite park - Grand Teton. While discussing with my wife where to go, I shouted out "I need to watch Robert!". Love your videos. You do great camerawork and excellent editing, but you also do a great job of narrating without talking too much. Those points aside, your work actually helps these kind of decisions but more than that, your work is a known value. To me, that's the best compliment I can give.
