This fun video will walk you through the steps of how to make a zine (definition below) with one piece of paper. I will show you step by step, how to make a colorful and meaningful abstract zine with text. This method can also be used for creating art journals and small books.
What is a zine? A zine is a self-published mini-magazine, that is typically produced in small, limited batches. There are really no rules with zines, as they can be folded, sewn, taped, glued, etc. Generally a zine is an inexpensive way to share passion or ideas about a particular topic. Zines are a fun DIY project that anyone can create.

I’ve watched more than one of your zine videos. Decided after 2 days of watching and loving the markers to order the set of 25 colors. And the fine tip Posca pens (love Posca pens). Thank you. And thanks to KZread/Google for paying attention to all the things I follow.

Watching this nearly a year after you made this video and to be honest, for me right now, this was a 'much needed' piece to see created. I will see how I go making a Zine and maybe I will do that with art work I create with water colours and others in mixed media like you have. I really liked that skilful way to show an opportunity to make those 'goofs' look like they were meant to be there all the time. That is the case yes? New subbie to your what looks to be an amazing channel.

Hey Kerry, welcome! And thanks for the encouraging feedback! Yes, give it a go with work your already have, it's a fun way to switch it up and create something fun! I'd love to hear how it turns out! And yes, many "goofs" (intentional or not) are welcome :) Feel free to connect anytime: www.katiegebely.com/together
