I pray the same prayers (including Mizmor David when returning Sefer Torah to the Ark like at the end of the video), I wear tallit and kippah just like the brother here and Israel is also my "birthright". I've always known about the Lemba, the Keifeng Jews from China, the Jews of Kerela in India and several other communities all over the world. Spelling might be different but it sounds the same. the president you interviewed today left that part out of the story, but actually they trace their lineage to the children of Senaah, when they were rebuilding the temple. and her father said, they soon left after helping rebuild the Temple after The Babylonian captivity. I just wanted to add that to the excellent information and story that you provided us today.

Google History Of Jews in Africa……you would be surprised to find that African Jews were scattered on the African continent long before other religions spread throughout Africa. The Northern and Eastern part of Africa had the largest cluster of African Jews before some Jews were forced to convert to Islam and some in East Africa converted to Christianity. Some years back, Isreal recognized Ethiopian Jews and they were airlifted to Isreal. 🇺🇸👍🏿

I agree 100% with my Lemba brother or son it’s very true. The Lembas have been in Zim for a long time because I am in my 60s and I was taught by a Lemba teacher. Shout out to my Lemba family!! After doing a deep dive on my DNA I find that I have more Lemba DNA than any other! Can't wait to visit my kin in Zimbabwe. Thanks my brother for this video.

@@lunarlight3594 there’s a black owned DNA company that specializes in African DNA tracing ancestral African roots. You can trace exactly where your African ancestors come from.

@@JJ-fq4nl You must not have read the fine print. We are so mixed its impossible to tell who we belong to. Having more DNA from one tribe just means a more recent common ancestor.

I have an Iranian friend (who is in Iran and has never left Iran) tell me about the INDIGENOUS black people of Iran, who were there before “Arab” people, and who are still there now (in lesser numbers). That really got me thinking of not only the original inhabitants of North Africa but of the middle east. Even tho I am not well educated in this subject, it seems to me what we call the middle east was originally black in RECENT times. Right before Christianity. I’m not talking the out of Africa theory, or before other skin/phenotype adaptations through evolution, but 1000-2000 years ago.

It’s common sense.. all 4 corners of the world were dark skinned. Because a dominant gene can creative recessive, but recessive (high mutation and depletion of protein aka pigment) cannot create a dominant gene. This is Grade 10 science level.

Interesting that the 2 customs that have held the test of time, from his own expert and experiential account, is tied to circumcision. I’m from Zimbabwe and have Lemba friends and I imagined it was much broader, deeper and philosophical than that. Like some values - think 10 commandments, 5 pillars etc… Nonetheless, love this and appreciate that you went to the people and they spoke for themselves. The names of the Hebrew tribes are Bantu extracts like Mbundu... Igbo sounding and, I suppose, meaning the same. We too practice male organ circumcision and other traditions but any desperate tribe grafted as Jew could replicate that over time. Instead of his tribe hoping to match the DNA of Jews in Israel, some of whom are actually Jews par descendants by marriage to Jews of the 12 tribes, they should compare with the Igbo people of Biafraland ( out of Nigeria) Our DNA series are on average 9, while some of us, myself included, have the maximum DNA 12 series. As a fresh DNA series 9, my Children can pass it on to theirs only if their spouses are a 9, to cement the DNA series 9 in my grand children. All my biological children inherited the 9 DNA series, including children I have with African American women and others.

One of the reasons that the Jewish organization 'Kulana' (meaning All of Us in Hebrew) has given these Lemba a measure of recognition is because they are non-messianic. They are working at turning these original Jews to Rabbinical Judaism so that they fall under the authority of of their Rabbis. It appears that the group has adopted some orthodox Jewish traditions in their liturgy. This is a timely video.

It is important to have proof, very important. But even without all the DNAs completed in all Africans, we know obviously because of wars, trade, intermarriages and slavery we were scattered around the world.
