Zhao Xintong is one of those players who play quick but never look rushed. Brilliant to watch.

WHAT a performance throughout the UK Championship by a player that we already knew was talented. He deserved this without doubt, and elevated the level of the sport at the same time. Bravo.

Xintong's cueing throughout the whole match was amazing, so was his safety shots, he left little for Luca to shoot at, and what was left as possible plant were extremely hard shots to pull off. I think Luca had a few unfortunate ball runs, which Zhao took full advantage of with him clearing the table most of the times it happened. I hope both players can keep this sort of form up, it's good for the game.

His long potting was something to behold, in the semi’s & final, so many of his breaks came from a long red off the baulk cushion. So refreshing to see a couple of new, young faces in the final, hopefully they kick on and make it more common, be great for the game. China will have another snooker craze after Yan winning the Masters earlier in the year

I love this young man so humble and his snooker is crisp, his shots amazing and his temperament second to none. He’s ready to take the next step in my opinion and so refreshing to see.

He looks like a character from games...but so good to watch...elegant on the table all around...love watching players like this...fast on and off table...

@@hackmandavid I think that language barrier is part of that shyness too but he has just ultimately won a major trophy I think I would be red faced too and uncomfortable...but he'll grow out of it...sure to become a major Star in future

5 years ago, I watched a match with Ronny at the 2016 English Open tournament, and I was amazed by his talent in that match. When I watched this finale, I thought of a TV series I watched in my youth, "The 6 Million Dollar Man". In the intervening time, I wondered if the Chinese did something to this child. :). Excellent, I hope it maintains this level for many years and gives pleasure to snooker lovers.

I am probably better than Zhao, I just choose not to play professional snooker because I have better things to do with my time. It makes me laugh when I see people wowed by these players when I can do it EASILY without even trying and I don't even practice.
