superblahmanofdoom Yes she was ,after Zeus ate her mother,Metis,because Gaia and uranos told him that if Zeus and Metis made Children the irst one would be a girl and the other would be a boy who one day would take Zeus'es throne Because of that he killed Metis. When the time for Athena to born came,Zeus had a horible headache an ordered Hefaistous to open he's skull and so he did. After Hefaistous opened Zeus's skull with an axe ,an adult armored Athena jumped out with a terrifying war cry. Athena was the real godess of war compared to Ares and her name means ''the congnition of God" from the fact that she came out of her father's head,Zeus.

Yeah, between Luke Evans and JL Snyder cut, the youngest looking Zeus's I've ever seen.

I don't get why people complain about Zeus not using his lightning bolt. He was angry like really really angry so he grabbed the nearest thing to him that would probably cause the most pain to him. I mean that's what makes this Zeus stand apart that he is able to portray so much power without really saying it. He must work out.

@@dragonkingbreaker6 well, according to Plutarch, they were one and the same. There’s a reason people later on considered them the same person, and Cronus’ character bled into Chronos as well, which gave rise to the name “Father Time”. Father of Kairos, Chronos, Kronus, Kronos, Cronus, etc.

@@eobardthawne324 people actually considered the titan a manifestation of the primordial, as the Titans were already primordial in their own right. They came before the gods and ruled man kindly, and each had their own importance. I’m 90% sure that the real confusion is between Chronos and Chronotos, the angel of Death in Greek mythology, as that would be an ignorant statement. Linking Chronos as the Father of Time and Zeus is more of a debate with a lot of leeway.

@@bendover9813 From what I've read the Preimordials are the generation before the Titans and are completely separate from them. I dont think Chronos as the Father of Time cant be Zeus father since Zeus wouldn't be an Olympian and would be something above that and a lot stronger than what he was. I've always seen Zeus referred to as the son of the Titan Cronus.

How is that Ares? Either the people making the movie were ignorant or this title is not correct. Wearing a helm that resembles a giant sun tells people with knowledge of Greek mythology that this is Apollo!

Can't believe its been several years already since I last saw this film on television lol! Looking back at it now, this movie had the best fight scene that I've seen so far (the gods vs titans scene) its a balance of "gory" and epic-ness!

Adeum Deus -- Actually in mythology Ares is pretty impulsive which would be weakness. In fact that impulsiveness is why Athena not Ares is worshipped more to the Ancient Greeks, restraint was much more important that blind rage. I mean he got his ass handed to him by a Herakles, not exactly a god.

He wrestle and beat Cerberus without harming him and wound Hades in some sources,and the same Heracles battled Apollo to a standstill before Zeus himself have to force them to stop,whooped by him is not a disgrace I would say.

Yes, but not the tactical or stragetic aspect of War, that was his surperior sister Athena, who was more respected and powerful than him. Ares was also below Aphrodite and Poseidon, due to them controlling more powerful aspects of Nature. Ares was also not very popular by both Greeks or the Olympians and mostly formed relationships with Eris, the Goddess of Discord and the 3 Furies. In short: he was just the guy people pretend doesn´t exist, except the Spartans.

It's clearly a nondescript hole in the wall. Later on in the film to mourn the death of an immortal they made a bass-relief showing a stylized ares. I thought the same thing after watching the film my first time
