I got chills hearing Red Wings again. FFIV (FFII in the states) was the first RPG I ever played. I still remember the chills I got hearing Uematsu's version for the first time, and hearing it in FFXIV is like my whole gaming life coming full circle.

Good gosh, the remix of Zeromus' theme absolutely SLAPS. It's tied with To The Edge for my favorite Trial theme. And it's a fun fight to boot! But once that Red Wings theme kicked in and then windows opened to the Moon, hype kicked into overdrive! Glad it did for you too!

Soken is a mad genius with his rendition of Zeromus's theme. Also if you notice during the cutscene after defeating Zeromus you can see a tear in the rift showing the moon from the Source.

Ever since we entered the memory Baron we were playing the role of Golbez and Durante was seeing us as him. 15:10 The music. The music! 21:10 Zeromus speaks in dragontalk. How eerie. 23:25 Had to get up and air guitar at this part.

Zeromus's theme , both the original and this remix, is one of the best final boss themes *ever* in my opinion Might not be as grand and epic as Dancing Mad and One Winged Angel, but holy hell it still slaps *really hard*

So lets see here, barring rubi in that cutscene before zeromus we had: Scar taken out by a powerful mage Cagnazzo taken out by a PLD Barbariccia taken out by a DRG (side not but I cant not hear the "I WILL NOT LET YOU DESTROY THE RIFT BETWEEN WORLDS" line spoken by anyone other than Goku ala Battle of Gods)

Rewatching this I just noticed the vocals for Zeromus' theme kicked in when the pillars sunmoning other WoL erupted

FF4 Fangasm mode engaged and yes, Nostalgia hurts XD

I had long figured the orignial Golbez was a shard of Azem...but I can't help but wonder if Durante (and maybe even Ran'jit) were shards of Zenos. Unrecognizable, but at the same time familiar.

I've been wondering if Zero was a shard of Zenos, and that's why she was yanked as his void-servant.

@@jonathanprice8684 Early on people believed she was a shard of Azem. But chances are she is a shard of no one and she was pulled mostly because she is strong.

The way Durante says "My friend, my hero" feels like a very deliberate echo of "My friend, my enemy." Also of course Golbez is a reflection of the WoL - who else would be a hero but still wear such an edgy glamour?

Endsinger definitely in deeper depression when post patch finale trial has his own theme 😂

When I heard the music I had to take like 5 minutes or so just to listen to it. I was waiting to see your reaction to it and I was not disappointed xD

It's wild to think that technically speaking, Zodiark is both the first and last trial boss of Endwalker.

I always wondered if it's canon or not that the WoL calls upon WoLs from the rift and thus combined able to defeat a powerful foe that I feel the WoL alone couldn't defeat

I always want to see people eat the black hole and see the unique death animation
