this definitely makes sense to me - hao is both the center and main vocalist, hanbin is a lead vocalist but in a way that carries the group’s sound like nayeon from twice, taerae is another main vocalist but not the center which is why he doesn’t have as many overall parts as hao despite singing many ad libs and climaxes, gunwook and matthew are also in the vocal line but also traverse into other roles like rapping and dancing, jiwoong has robust skills in basically everything so he’s able to round out the group, yujin and gyuvin are sub vocalists but support the group in dance and rap respectively. the only odd one i’d say is ricky because he seems like lead vocalist material, but at least he usually gets good bridge parts like joy in red velvet or mina in twice.

I have an add-on to this! songs like take my hand and in bloom, it's hao - hanbin - taerae these 3 switch up between each other with the choruses and the effect is really good

It adds a lot of flavor and it makes the song a little bit different from my perspective, I really like that combination

This is actually really fair considering their strengths and what part of the song they usually get.

I've noticed this year Hanbin lines have dropped quite a bit but I can't complain since he was never assigned main vocal to begin with 😅😅😅 but overall I think their distributions are quite fair, and they all get to shine

Yujin sings very well, I adore his voice so much, also his stage presence and sense of concepts are also always good, I want more line for him ❤️

@@tp5510 No, he isn't. I get you're a Matthew fan (and possibly a Gunwook anti), so you're obviously very BIAS. But Gunwook is technically a lot better a vocalist than Matthew. He is more connected throughout his while range. His transitions between registers is better, and all 3 registers are better developed. Matthew is more stable and has SLIGHTLY better dynamics, but this does not overcome the skill difference. Gunwook is also obviously a better dancer (it's not close), and I find him to be a better performer than Matthew (though performance is somewhat subjective). In conclusion, 5th would be the fairest rank for Matthew to be in, and he's 7 seconds off that. If Jiwoong moved down to 7th, the line distribution would then be in the fairest order.
